New Burner

Post by Irish Burner » Mon Jan 08, 2018 9:35 pm

So I only recently discovered Burning Man, both the event and the community\ethos of the whole thing, and I absolutely love it! I've read all the history, learned all the different aspects from the website, and I can't wait until I finally get to go.
Unfortunately, I doubt I'll get there until 2020 at earliest, but I'd still love to participate in any way I can, as well as try and attain new information about this all.
Thanks :D

Welcome Aboard!

You can never get started too early. Do sign up for Jackrabbit speaks and keep an eye on how and when ticket sales happen, and how people fare. Watch eplaya later in summer, it gets busy, informative, and even a little entertaining.

Do be aware the videos you see online are showing the very best side of the even for the most part. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like and need!

Thanks for the advise, I'll be sure to do those things.

Yeah, I watched Jesse's video for 2017's event, and ya can tell he put in the very best things he could. I also saw High On Life's video for 2017, and it seemed a little more sincere, but kidna the same. I did watch the 1995 documentary, why I feel is a lot more raw. If it's a combination of all of those, I'd be very content to say the least. But Insee what ya mean; I'll not to play(a) it up too much in my own head lol

Even as an experienced burner, I can get far too deep into my own head, and expectations are the burn-killer. Still, the burn is fucking amazing, even when it is not.

Hey there, welcome to ePlaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
