That's my take away from the good Doctor.

I have met the Doc, been to his house, enjoyed his amazing Barbie Death Camp.

I believe he said he is an investment banker, or stock broker, or portfolio manager...something like that.

He paints a rosy picture of economic and societal great things happening now.

Yet, if he is in one of those jobs I mentioned above, he, too, has a great fear: that he will miss the opportunity to short the shit out of the market, as we are in a bubble, he knows it.....we all know it. (Interviews with Wall St. survivors of 9/11 pointed out that despite the catastrophe, ending the lives of their trader friends working at WTC, it took them only a few seconds in front of their computers to think about how to profit from it.)

Why is the shithole thing getting a kabillion more stories than Trumps plan to change our nuke policy and production of smaller "easier to push the button" nukes? (yeah, small like Hiroshima small.) Answer: we are in a bubble. Can't see the forest for the trees, rose colored glasses, etc, etc...

I mean, no stock market person is gonna be changing their short term investment strategy this Thursday when the 15 Nobel laureates will most assuredly move the Doomsday Clock forward... and why should they change their long term strategy when they might think that when (not if in anyones mind ESPECIALLY since Trump came to be the most powerful man in the world) the shit does it the fan, the stock market and international banking systems will not be what they are now. A new world indeed.

All those who cried when Trump seduced almost half the country into believing his intelligence, character and personality had nothing to do with what he could do as president knew we were in trouble, and the facts Dr. Pyro brings up as positive are indeed, just a bubble. We all know it. It is the elephant in the room.

Some of you people are funny and nauseating both at the same time. So I checked with the New York Times (not exactly Breitbart News) their Business Day column beginning on January 3 and here is what they reported. NOTE: This completely contradicts the belief that companies do not pass their earnings and tax saving along to their workers, so be warned.

COMPANY: AT&T Amount: $1000 bonus.. Affected employees: More than 200,000
COMPANY: Fifth Third Bancorp Amount: Increase in all minimum wage to $15 and a $1000 bonus. Affected employees 13,500 for the bonus and 3500 for the wage hike.
COMPANY: Southwest Airlines Amount: $1000. Affected employees: All 53,500 full time and part time employees and an additional $5,000,000 to various charitable causes.
COMPANY: Wells Fargo. Increase to $15/hour for all hourly employees, effecting 268,000 employees. Also donating $400,000,000 to community organizations in 2018.
COMPANY: Boeing. Amount: $300,000,000 additional spending on employees and benefits. Affected employees: 147,000
COMPANY: Comcast Amount: $1000 bonus. Affected employees; More than 100,000 nonexecutive employees and they are increasing by $50 billion over the next five years on infrastructure and broadband.
COMPANY: American Airlines. Amount: $1000. Affected employees; over 113,000 people. Officers of the company will not get a payment. (So much for the rich taking all of the rewards)

Even CNBC acknowledged these facts from it's Market Insider column with Patti Domm. For any of you to argue otherwise only shows you have blinders on and will not (or cannot) accept that the policies currently coming out of Foggy Bottom are actually good for the country, good for you, good for your children, and yes, dare I say it, good for me. Minorities, women, and the lowest employed will garner a greater percentage of these increases than upper management, so how is any of this a bad thing? I haven't checked all the companies you have listed but a few quick googles show that ATT and Comcast have laid off more people than they have given bonus's to. WalMart (Sams Club) is in bankruptcy and is closing stores. Wells Fargo? INCREASE to $15.00/hr?? you would pay a sherpa more than that.

I always enjoy Doc Pyro's political view posts and frankly think more would be fun. But a better response would be a playful (counter) repartee.

To the Doc, the repatriation should have been hinged on long term 5+ year USA job creation with clawbacks. As designed, it just boosted very short term quarterly stock value and wealth transfer. Most would say that we are in a peak bull market. That will reverse.

What if that military parade is just a pretext for a dissolving the rest of the government at the end of a gun? I mean, he will have got the equipment on the ground in the capital.... It's always just paranoia, until it isn't. I prefer we as a nation provide fewer times for frustrated power hungry megalomaniacs to be opportunistic...

I guess this is why in Democratic nations we don't have military parades too often in our capitals. We have a civilian led government, and the only thing that keeps it that way is discipline and a general agreement by those who have access to the weapons to keep it that way.
