I have been stuck on a band called Vola for several weeks now. I think I take a little pride in finding these unknown personal favorites. They've got some weird riffs that progress into heavy, steady riffs (they are progressive metal afterall). All the while, their songs have a lyrical depth I can fully appreciate.
