I have a brand New Honda Generator. Never put fuel in it. I just found a post that indicated you could not put a genny in a Container truck if it has had fuel in it. that brings me back to thinking that the Propane conversion would be the better idea. Then I could ship it there and back.
Thoughts?

It's DOT HAZMAT regulations. Even if you drain all the gas there is a remnant of fumes that can cause an explosion. I expect you would have the same problem with propane.
You will get roughly 80% of wattage from propane that you do with gas.
I'm sure that a brand new off-the shelf generator would start right up but I don't KNOW that. I'd want to test run a generator before taking it to the burn.

If your genny is new, you better bring enough oil and fixings to do oil changes to break in the genny too.

I don’t know this because I’ve always carried my own... but I’m assuming the fuel tank is the problem. Those Hondas come apart pretty easily with just a few tools.
I wonder if you could ship it if you removed the fuel tank?
You can order literally any part for those sets, you could just get a new tank later.
Don’t know, it’s just an angle you could investigate.
