Can anyone tell me whether this LED rope has individually addressable pixels? We used these ropes in our art installation last year, but were only to control the entire rope, not each pixel. I am *wondering* whether our downfall was the DMX driver we used, which could have prevented us from addressing each pixel.
Please take a look and let me know what you think!
Here's a closeup of the rope. The only writing on the strip is "151" and "301" printed on the vertical boxed oval shape. This is repeated on every 2" segment.
And a pict of the DMX controller we used it with last year (Elation Elar Driver-1Pro)

Thanks Traveller, for info on the box. But I'm thinking the ropes themselves are addressable. I'm guessing our limitation was the box itself, not the ropes, but I'm hoping someone with more experience than li'l ole me could would know for sure.
Any thoughts people?

Re: Individually Addressable Pixels - LED Rope
The controller and the LED modules have to match;
Either you have individually addressable LEDs, with data line on the LEDs and on the controller
or you have common colour wired LEDs, with common colour lines on the controller.
The DIY solution is to cut the rope in small segments and give each 6 segments its own controller
RGB >> RGB, GBR, BRG, GRB, RBG, BGR,
Ctrl>>Seg1, Seg2, Seg3, Seg4, Seg5, Seg6

Re: Individually Addressable Pixels - LED Rope
I think you can only set one color for the entire strip.
If you want to individually address each pixel you're much better off purchasing LED strips specifically meant for that. For example, you can get get some ws2812b-based LED strips, and a DMX controller that works for them.
