Help! Looking to share/rent RV from SF to BRC

Hello fellow burners,

We are 5 (with possible +1) from all over that are meeting in SF to go to BRC.

We are all arriving to SF on August 25th and our flights back are on Sunday the 1st of September (so we would need to leave by the 30th night (once the man burns).

My girlfriend and myself live in Boston, my brother is in Washington DC, and we have 2 friends joining from Turkey- the possible +1 is from South Korea- we are trying and will to get tickets for him as I'm planning on having my playa wedding there! Half of us are experienced burners (my third burn) and other half are virgins.

So, we tried to rent and RV and unfortunately got scammed and lost roughly about $2,000. Now we are stressed as the RV prices have gone extremely high and their availability is very low.

With that said, we are looking for some help. If you own an RV and are looking for some people to make your ride fun- we'll sing, dance, or stay quiet however you would like to be entertained .

If you do not own an RV, do you know anyone that is willing to rent for a reasonable price?

You’re shooting your own self in the foot. Why the hell are you meeting up in San Francisco to do this? That’s probably the worst place you could possibly choose. It’s not the closest city, it will have the most traffic to BRC, the highest prices on everything and the least chance of finding an RV.
If you can change your meetup to Reno or a bunch of other places you’ll be better off, your odds of finding an RV rental are way better the further from SF you go.

Beware many RV rental outfits do not allow their rigs to be taken to Burning Man, for good reason. The environment trashes them.

If you rent from a private party, make sure it’s not someone you want to remain friends with, they’re not gonna be happy when you get back.

RV’s for Burning Man:

The company I have rented from before and will be renting from again this year STILL HAS THEM and they’re definitely the most affordable option. [fee redacted] for 10 days 8 person RV. They’re great with burners and super nice.

The catch: they’re in Fresno. I’m personally leaving my car there and they’re picking us up in Reno for [edit] a fee.
