Best food in Reno!
Hi All,
Virgin burner coming into Reno, USA and BM for the first time.
Looking for the best local food to try out in Reno!
I seen those on Trip Advisors but I'm looking for locals to give me some pointers on what to try and what to avoid.
No fine dining and no Asian food (I'm Asian)
Also, some pointers on places to visit would be great. Probably nothing taxing like a hike in a wilderness and etc.
Much appreciated,
JO

Where will you be staying while in Reno and how long will you be here?
Midtown has a lot of good places to eat.

Welcome to the burn! A long time ago the burning man website published lists of businesses in towns burners passed through. Now with apps like Yelp, Google, etc. that is unnecessary. Applications like those can filter based on price, hours of operation and a variety of "best" measures. Even small towns have businesses in these apps.

Lucky, What is that place we ate while on the amtrakathon. Breakfast with Doc in a very busy dive joint. I loved it.

Raleys on MacCarran has the best Spicy Crab Roll in the deli. The best.

If you're staying at/near the airport (as I do), Crawfish Asian Cuisine (Plumb Lane, near 395) was seriously good. Even as someone who is as picky as I am about my seafood (and Chinese food, for that matter), this place has impressed me every time I've gone.

Re: Best food in Reno!
There's some pretty decent food to be found around downtown/midtown.
For small plates (kinda pricey): check out Centro. I've always been really impressed with their food though they did hike their prices recently.
For meat: check out Fin & Filet (formerly Feast). Actually haven't been but have heard nothing but glowing reviews from friends.
For local fare: Liberty Food and Wine Exchange. Super reasonably priced, lots of locally sourced products, and lots of meats cured in house. Probably my fave on the list!
If you're looking for something a little more casual, Noble Pie midtown offers slices or full pizzas. They also share some picnic tables with Pinon, which offers 30+ craft beers on tap!

Sushimi's all you can eat sushi (formerly known as Hiroba). We gorge ourselves every time we pass through (BM, Juplaya, etc.) and this is a must do.

Where’s the best burrito?
What about a good brisket or bbq ribs?

Oh yes! I did my best Homer Simpson on that place. Crawled out after about 3-4 hours.torrey.smith wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 2:26 pmSushimi's all you can eat sushi (formerly known as Hiroba). We gorge ourselves every time we pass through (BM, Juplaya, etc.) and this is a must do.

Super Burrito, bbq ribs at the rib fest, brisket-I don’t know what that is...
The steak house at Western Village is absolutely a must. Yeah, I know sounds weird but really really good and fancy

Rib fest is during TTITD.
Heavy Sigh.
I might go to the rib thing this year.
