Virgins planning to burn.

Post by azebb » Sat Jul 21, 2018 7:03 pm

Hi all. My gf and I have tickets in hand for our 1st burn. So effffinnnggg excited. Was hoping to get advice on where to camp. I have read virtually every webpage referring to the event over the last few months. We do have a small rv and a big tent. Planning on using the tent mostly but having a rv just i case. 3 room tent with stripper pole in the center :D We obviously know nothing and are kind of looking for some one or ones to show us the ropes. We want to make the most of every minute and if we could have a a friend in advance to help us it would be so appreciated.
If anyone would like to give us advice on where to set up and and maybe spend a little time with us when we get there it would help us. We should be there as the gates open. Leaving Phoenix on the 23rd for a slow trip to BRC.
Thanks for reading. We are Kelly and Rachel for now I guess.

Hey there, welcome to ePlaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Hi and welcome! I vote for no hot tub and no stripper pole. This is your first event. Enjoy it. Go to the 'V Spot' and volunteer where needed. It's a volunteer station near Center Camp. Participate by signing up and helping where needed. The week is going to fly by at lightning speed. You will be busy as hell without a pole in your tent. Come to the Meet & Greet on Wednesday night at Barbie Death Camp. (The password is pineapple.) Bring some food, booze or ice. Meet the eplyans.

Welcome azebb & partner!

You will be given a map and other things by Greeters (one step past gate) so that you'll know where open camping is.

If you really want to be with a camp, you can reach out to a prospective camp with a cover letter-style email explaining why you like them and what you offer . . . (if you see something excellent) . . . but technically it's a little late in the year to do so. Most camps close by April/May/June.

Also, since you already have a lot of infrastructure, please don't imagine that it's "a must" to be with a placed theme camp in any way. That's only something you should do if you find a group you mesh with, & desire the work shifts, cost, and responsibility. You can still call yourselves whatever you want, hang a sign out, invite your neighbors over for cocktails and canapés. And you can still visit theme camps whenever they're open.
