Suitable bag for pop-up tent
Hi all... I apologize in advance if there is an answere to this somewhere on here. I did a search...
I have a pop up tent that comes as a 40" ish diameter disc. It's basically flat though. I'm taking the Burner Express and am allowed two bags. I'll have one big duffle bag, but using this as a second bag on its own seems like a bit of a waste. I'd like to find a bag that can accomodate this and some more, but it seems like a really odd format.
Looking for ideas. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know!
Thanks!

Careful when putting that bag in another, that the tent doesn't have "hoops" that can become damaged if they're bent too far/sharply (effectively stay permanently bent). Not that I ever did that and put it in on its side and it got squished and it didn't exactly pop up nor could be persuaded to be "up" anymore.Kickinchicken wrote: ↑Sat Jul 28, 2018 11:46 pm... Mine would have been happier in a suitcase where it would have been protected from being bent.
Yours may be different, or it may be similar. Google for bent hoops, bent stays for your tent, so you're sure what you're dealing with.
Or rather than a bag (duffel, etc.), perhaps there's a cheap suitcase that will work.

Thanks @Canoe. That's true and TBH on top of that: I'm wondering if this is a realistic option as the BE luggage restrictions say 62 linear inches and this on its own exceeds that.

Better that that up with BE...

Probably: "Better take discussion about size issues up with people of the Burner Express"

I would take a different tent. Yours may just lay flat on you in the severe wind. Try this old thread for some insight.

I had one of these, but it stowed as about an 18' diameter circle. It was a pain the ass to fold up, but worked really well on top of an Army cot. No way is it even close to dust proof, so definitely not playa-ready.
