The Goddamm Captain isn't feeling very fucking thankful this time at all. Homicidal is closer to it. It's been a multi-source bad time for about a month straight.
But if I HAD to count up the good things, well, I have a house of my own all to my self, I'm a car nut and I own my ultimate dream machine http://www.ilynne.com/55Chevy.mov ...and you know, I'd really like to take that out today and destroy another set of tires, but it's raining, baby stays inside..., I'm healthy, I have a fun job, and I'll be spending Thanksgiving with people I like quite a damn bit later on today.

I am thankful for my Mom coming all the way up here from Santa Cruz to spend the holiday with me. Life is good but sometimes being the Merry Widow sucketh canal water.
I am thankful for the sun coming out this afternoon while we had a most excellent dinner.
I am thankful to be living in a beautiful locus.
I am thankful that I can find contentment and happiness even though I'm about five or six years out of step with the rest of society and I'm living below the poverty line.
I am thankful to be surrounded by friends.
I am thankful that there have been no insurmountable or unresolvable crises in recent memory.
I am thankful to have learnt that Tim Burton's re-making Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory! =D
I am thankful that both Mom and I managed to find a bolthole when we went to visit my horse yesterday and he got embroiled in an intra-herd hierarchical scuffle with the herd stallion — and still got some nice photographs

I am thankful that I am not a 'repeat offender' with a life of prison ahead of me.
I am thankful that I was able to leave the results of my bad decisions behind me.
I am thankful for the friends and family that have always believed in me.
I am thankful to be able to walk through my warm and safe house to my kitchen, and to know that I will find food there.
I am thankful that I do not live in constant pain, nor require artificial devices to move and function fully.
I am thankful that there are those that love me and this means that I will never again be truely alone.
I am thankful to have the ability to see beauty, to taste the delicious, to hear the melodies, to smell the fragrant, and to feel the softness- as this can be taken away all too quickly in the blink of an eye.
I am thankful to not feel constant paralyzing fear, or drowning sorrows of my own mind fighting me.
I hope that I can constantly take pleasure in the sound of rain, a pretty bauble, a simple and human act of kindness, the smell of fallen leaves- as this can elude the richest man or lift the heart of the farthest fallen.
And I hope to always remember that all bad things pass and life will continue to be vastly amusing come the morrow.

i'm thankful that i got to see my brother yesterday.
i'm thankful that family, in a new form after a fruit basket upset, is starting to mean something again.
i'm thankful to have had the chance to spend yesterday evening with Lydia and Cap't and Guin and RebA! and Glenn and Guin's Love-air and Sensei, too. for cuddles and peas dropped into cleavage and bad porn and good cider and so much laughter from people who love me for no good reason whatsoever.

I am thankful for living on a block with friendly neighbors where we all exchange homemade goodies on Christmas Eve day.
I am thankful all my troubles are petty today.
I am thankful for the lively, funny, thoughtful eplayans who brighten my every day whether they know it or not.
I am thankful for happy cats who snuggle and purr.
I am thankful for electricity, heat, and indoor plumbing on freezing days such as this.

I am thankful for the life I have lived... it's been one hell of a ride.
I am thankful for my family; they are wonderful!
I am thankful that I have a job, a truck, and a house to live in.
I am thankful that that Joy that lives deep, deep down inside of me, can never be touched.
Life is Good.

I am thankful for, among countless other things, the beau showing up this christmas eve afternoon and then trudging back out in hte icy snowy freezing cold with my grocery list, which includes more beer, more hot chocolate, and a pound of walnuts. I'm making banana bread to share with the neighborhood! Yay!

I am thankful to be having Christmas with my babies and wishing I could share the feeling with those that can't for whatever reason this year.
I am thankful I don't have 2 feet of rebar sticking out of my left eye that wacks people in the head every time I turn to look at something.
I am thankful that my kids don't know what shrapnel is.
I am thankful for friends like you.

I am thankful that that damn cancer is OUT OF ME and heading back to the sewers where it belongs.
I am thankful for Mom coming up — again — to generally make my life smoother while I recover.
I am thankful to be surrounded by friends who are giving their all to help me during this...adjustment. Both local and off-site
I am thankful that my recovery is progressing at a pace that the doctors and my friends and mother keep telling me is "amazing."
I am thankful that the staples are coming out tomorrow afternoon!! =D
I am thankful that my cat hasn't left my side since I got home from the hospital.
I am thankful that my horse is a kind, intelligent and friendly one.
I just finished reading my last post in this thread. It's astonishing how much can change in a little less than a year and adding "CANCER" into the mix. Let's just say I've undergone a renaissance and if you see me next year and knew me B.C. (Before Cancer), I'll be surprised if you recognize me. Listen for the H O W L
