As a youngster, I had been caught red-handed numerous times with contraband alcohol and marijuana only go be released without citation. Respecting authority goes along way, like "yes sir" and "no sir," and, not exhibiting a scintilla of attitude, will go along way. Why in the fuck would a person want to poke an angry bear by litigating an issue surely to cause more totally unnecessary grief?

You have to understand cops are members of a paramilitary organization with a professional code of ethics when are held to a higher standard.

Not true... I got pulled over on Gate Road for my break lights not working... they wanted in my 5th wheel. Asked me the combo to the lock, said I don't know. He said it's a real small lock, easy to break. I said you gotta do what you gotta do. He asked if I don't know the combo, how was I supposed to get in inside. I said it was my friend's trailer and he knows the combo, pulled that right out of my ass... but he said, oh that makes sense.*

They found ganja in my pickup so they wrote a ticket for that... which was dismissed because Nevada recognizes MMJ Rx from other states.

If you get pulled over. Lock your doors. You do not have to let them in. That's the law... the Feds and Sheriff showed up, dog sniffing around... but they didn't break that lock.

Plus I was super polite and respectful... my friend was trying to play hard ball saying we know our rights and asking a cop why he was wearing a mask. They got annoyed by him and asked me if they could taze him.

I said if you do it inside the Burn you can call it art... they all laughed.

The number of LEO assigned for this task is not purportional to the population, or normal traffic on that road which would normally only require a few more officers. I don't think the size of that force was coincidental.

So my take is they are using the opioid crisis in this country as their justification for this action. They want to stop the trafficking of opioids and heroin on the reservation. My guess is that zero burners are trafficking on the reservation. So this is nothing other than a planned harassment of those going to BM and because of this no money from my palms. I like a good shakedown but mine usually are being done by what's left of the dead.
