How to find people you met at BM this year?

Why? Why does this post exist? It's got me so curious... is it in proper context or the wrong thread? Go where? The Burn? The clinic? Who's got VD? What kind? Does Zues have VD? Why...

Anyway, meeting up with Burners in Defaultia is cool... but you're either here or you're there...

To me the other 51 weeks (aside from the ePlaya snarkfest) should be for recruiting new Burners...

Might be a totally made up statistic but I've heard only ~25% of virgins come back... that means the BRN recruiting team fails 75% of the time...

This isn't baseball... we gotta recruit better... and we shouldn't go around raving about the Burn all day, most humanoids are perfectly programmed for Defaultia... I meet so many virgin/future Burners and when I see they've got great potential to become Playatacular citizens of BRC the only thing I need to say to seal the deal in the recruiting process is what was said to me that ended my recruiting process... "Just go."

Another top recruiting technique is when you ask if someone is going this year and they say they've never been, just give them the WTF? bug eyes...

Another friend told me, "Dude, you were made for the Burn."

But keep it simple... no stories, no pictures...

Are you not aware that tickets sell out as fast as they can be processed? Are you not aware that the event has sold out to legal capacity for the last five years?
Are you not aware that people like you are a large part of the reason so many don't come back?

Back when Burning Man was cool (before you ever heard of it) it was a well known thing that you don't push people to become Burners. They either want to or they don't.

The other 51 weeks out of the year, I hardly speak of burning man unless someone asks me about it. It's hard enough getting into the event. Maybe that's why only 25% of virgins return, cuz they can't get a fuckin ticket!

"Recruit" subtly... only those who are curious and ask questions, especially artists who already live by the Principles they've never heard of...

But yeah, with the population cap we should just tell everyone it sucks. Too hot, too dusty, too many Perpetual Trolls...

How to find people you met at BM this year?

Well, the same way you find your missing car keys.

You go back to were you lost them, then try to bring back the same mental state that you were in at the time. Back track from when you knew they were lost to when you last knew you had them.

Hint: Check under the cushions in the sofa. That's usually were you find them.

If anyone asks you why you are staggering around drunk on an empty dry lake bed, just tell them that you'll be gone as soon as you find your missing friends. They usually tend to leave you alone after that.

If anybody here knows the person who left a large manila envelope with a rubber band over it and the giant words "FUCK THIS SHIT" burning at the temple this year (2018) -- next to Larry's picture, by the centre piece -- I would love to personally thank that beautiful soul, cos that envelope helped me to put down a burden I was carrying for over 18 years. And I'd also love to hear their story if they care to share!
