Dealing with cops

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience dealing with cops at the Burn, more specifically, paying fines? Any of you on working visas/not US citizens?

Lawyers for burners only brings up the name of one lawyer who seems very busy!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on what you were charged with, it's sometimes cheaper to pay the fine (stupid tax), than to hire a lawyer to fight it. In most cases, I think that's what law enforcement is counting on. They would really rather just get the money mailed to them rather than having to go to court to defend why they issued the ticket.

If it's more serious, you may have that one attorney recommend another local lawyer for you. I'm sure there must be other Nevada attorneys who are familiar with representing burners in court cases.

If you have the original citation in hand, any attorney should be able to help you.

You can contact the local BAR association in the jurisdiction most pertinent to your situation.

NV and Washoe county have BAR associations.
