Hey Dr, We are missing your contributions on ePlaya as a member of the "loyal opposition" to the unstoppable forces of liberalism-socialism and the BRCCP!

In the population at large in the US, many are just not interested in politics, our voter turnout is OK - but could be better (I think I missed only one election in my life, a minor one), and how the media/politicians themselves communicate complex issues sucks. Then there is the Russian involvement in suppressing US democracy.

Poll after poll shows Gen Z and Millennials are very progressive.

As far as @AOC, she is a different generation. They have huge insecurities and stresses about how they represent themselves on social media. But they have been bathed in fire since a young age figuring it out. It's completely different than a Reagan or a Trump that had "their people" to handle communication/image the political stage.

What the hell are you talking about? I'm not yukking it up, simply stating a fact. Not trying to be funny here. And my true stripes are simple: be honest, don't screw other people, be loyal and trustworthy, and be kind. Personally I think sex work should be legal between consenting adults. So I don't believe "media whore" is derogatory. Trump has legally made a lot of money being a media whore. That doesn't mean he hasn't made other money illegally. We'll see.

As for @AOC, I think, as I said, she is representative of how her generation uses the media, and she is more self-confident doing it than most. But you will find plenty of her generation and younger making equivalent bold or outraged statements all the time on their FB. The oddity is that The Donald does the same.
