Saw wheat!
VP's went up to $100.

Some nice changes in policies that will undoubtedly piss off some people but I think it will help.

So just about half of the available tickets go to the cool kids via DGS. (48%)

The poor and needy (gotta fill up Center Camp somehow) get 6.7%

A third will be the main sale mob, Jane and John Q Public (34.6%)

4K 'rich fucks' with money to burn - Yeah, that will teach them! Still plenty douche-mongering capacity for the Glitterati (6%)

OMFG, we totally fucked all the slave labor volunteers at the airport, Gate and Perimeter, and flaggers ... FML Sale (4.5%)

Considering that only about 10% in the Cool Kids Club actually build 90% of the Wow, that's a fuck-ton more tickets for the Sherpa's and paid staff in the DGS.

Must be terrifying for MM to realize her legacy is the decay and ruin of BM. She panicky.

Looks like a 3000 ticket drop from last year for the main sale.
Some one needs to support those $100,000. Camp

If burning man really what’s to fix itself just put a name on the ticket of the buyer, and checked at the gate, so no scalping on tickets, if you can’t make it return to ticketfly for full refund, then the ticket is resold at face value.

We have a new ticketing partner! You will not need to create an account in advance of, or during, the purchase process.

Am I safe to assume my old Ticketfly account is being absorbed by the "new partner"?
How many old burners does it take to change a light bulb? Just one to change the bulb..... and five more to reminisce how good the old bulb was....

Fewer general sale tickets available... so that's cool.

I don't think DGS should out number main sale tickets.

All the Groups where I camp are like frat-houses or P&P.

$1400 “FOMO” tickets! (I could afford $990 and $1200 but not “FOMO”.)

Main Sale from now on and if I miss it, so what, no one will miss me, lol!

Not like it used to be!

Agreed. As someone who can only reasonably make it back Home every few years (damn default responsibilities), I'm not able to truly involve with any one group that fall under DGS and am stuck with the rest of the masses hovering over our mouse trying to time that click just right.

Totally agree.

I'll either go.......or I won't.

I've seen how the DGS tickets & early entry passes can be abused by those in control of them so I'm probably just going to try my luck at the main sale & see what goes.

I've never done it but open camping sounds better & better too.

The Hat, rest his soul, could smell the cheese back in 2012 when he devised The Cargo Cult for 2013.

It was all planned, it epic failed.

Now we get MM to do what middle managers do, tinker and tweak, when what is needed is revolution.

We kicked out a PnP! YAY! Everyone gets 7% less fucked.

We warned a dozen PnP camps! YAY! Everyone gets an additional 2% less fucked.

Half the tickets now are DGS! BOO! Everyone gets 13% more fucked.

There’s your Cargo Cult right there. The tribe needs beads and mirrors to get to tickets.

Getting more or less fucked with “it’s a good start” feel-good moment.

I think Simon said this: “This revolution will be instagrammed”!

Open camping is really bad now, pushed all the way back to H-street, used to be able to camp at 9:45 & D, not anywhere close anymore! Wish the ORG would designate, small group open camping with NO GENERATORS at better locations. The size of BRC necessitates bringing a bicycle or MV.

Not much open camping left. Last year before the event even opened on Sunday almost all open camping was full.

I've lived on G street before & didn't mind it one bit. I always consider a bike essential equipment & wouldn't Burn without one. If I were to go nomad I'd be as far back as I could. I try to cover as much territory as I can just to take in as much as I can (thus the bike). So for me camping in the back bleachers isn't a big deal.

It's past H street now.

It was convenient being on the corner of H and 5 for six yrs.

It made it easy for people to find me.

7th year got pushed out another block by theme camps.

I thought it was somewhat telling, in a sort of vague manner, when the city map came out pre-burn last year and had no definitive boundary for where open camping was, just a blurred demarcation. I got the sense then that they were leaving their options open in favor of additional placement.
