Everyone is so politically fucked up that they're segregating themselves in the name of equal rights and liberation.

Re: Burner Dykes
I, too, shall be at Beaverton, as a youngish wayward dyke looking for my people. Hopefully more folk will wander by.

Re: Burner Dykes
Welcome to ePlaya and our campout.
A long time ago I was part of a village that had an art car. It was medium size, bus size, with a band. My job was the walker crew to keep people from being run over. We would stop and play, like the big mobile DJ vehicles do now. But we took on travelers, less likely now. I would gather up distressed individuals sometimes, including a lost young person deep playa who joined our bus.
I'm a vibes watcher and listener, so we sat and chatted. It took some time listening. She was a lesbian, but did not know where to find her people. We brought her back to the main city with some ideas.
Keep your vibe senses active at the event. Listen.
Today lesbians and any orientation of identity/attraction have many more resources and are more secure than 15 years ago on playa. Maybe acceptance of LGBT on playa is solved?
I would also say take a look at the Burning Man Census. The LGBT population from surveys is small. But the reset in everyday life, inspiration and the encouragement/support culture of the event is valuable for anyone.
BTW I'm appreciating Lyra McKee's letters to myself and TED talk vids.

SSE your posts are usually spot on but this time you are wrong. The 2017 survey shows the LGB population at about 33%. Not Smallsome seeing eye wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 6:39 pm
