When was the last time your were this happy?
I was stumbling around the interwebs when I came across this short video of what looks to be pure happiness.
When was the last time you were so happy that you screamed for joy over something so simple?

Right!!! Not since childhood have any of us experienced this kind of raw, joy and bliss. Sad but a little sliver of hope shines through to know that it does still exist.

There is true happiness in a burrito! It’s the perfect food, you can pack them with anything. From meats to beets, to Ramen noodles. Dammit now I want a burrito, to the burrito dispensary!!!!

Its hard to beat the joy of a bowl of chocolate ice cream with an irresponsible amount of kahlua on it.

Hi Capt. Vanilla ice cream with Courvoisier brandy and instant coffee crystals sprinkled on top. Yummy.

Wow Ratty I thought I was the only one that put instant coffee on my ice cream! My great grandma showed us that as kids, something about that crunch brings it all back. In retrospect probably not the best thing to teach small children but it was a different time.
Captain just reading your post made my mouth water and put the biggest fucking grin on my face. Food is probably the closest thing to pure joy! I love it keep ‘em coming!

Ahh, the little things... I love those times when you're thirsty and you chug some water and you can taste that it's the best thing in the world.

AntiM I'm sorry to hear that. Yet the life shattering joy that these people are feeling doesn't always have to be earth shattering to bring you joy. Little things like the smell of the morning paper or that first cup of coffee. That small bit of joy some of us find when we are belting out the chorus to our favorite song and catch someone smiling as they sit next to you in a traffic jam. Or even the guilty pleasure of of binge watching a show on a beautiful sunny day. We draw our joy from so many things in this earth yet sometimes I don't think we recognize them as such. Keep your eyes peeled AntiM I'm sure something will come along

Last time I felt that much joy was just two weeks ago on April 9, when the hospital drained 750ml of fluid from around my right lung & I could breath normally for the first time in 6+ months. The first deep breath was like heaven.

Wow! Eric that’s a lot of fluid. Glad to hear that you’re doing better. Was that a Peracentisis, thoracentisis, or a chest tube? Looks like food is barely in the lead followed by oxygen bringing everyone joy out there.

Re: When was the last time your were this happy?
The problem is every time I do experience something joyful, which I do and I do recognize, it is tinged with the emptiness of not having Mylarry to ever share with again. It is not the lack of small joys, or an insensibility to them, but that my other half is gone and my happiness is halved and tainted with loss. This is not something one simply gets over. I live with the duality that every good thing is a reminder and paired with tears.Consequences wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 12:44 pmAntiM I'm sorry to hear that. Peracentisis in Feb (500ml), the one two weeks ago was thoracentisis. Plus 30lbs of fluid weight from my legs since Jan, mostly through diuretics. Yay for haywire livers!Consequences wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 8:05 pmWow! Eric that’s a lot of fluid. Glad to hear that you’re doing better. Was that a Peracentisis, thoracentisis, or a chest tube?

Re: When was the last time your were this happy?
The loss of the loved one is truly one of the hardest things we are faced with in our life’s. I can’t even start to understand the loss of a true love in ones life with as young as I am. I can understand the loss that’s for sure. I don’t have any flowery words or flurries of wisdom, but I can say that time can and will lessen the blow. It won’t heal all wounds because scars are usually forever. Yet they can be those happy little reminders that for some time in life we lived a truly joyous existence and that it could happen again.AntiM wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 11:49 amThe problem is every time I do experience something joyful, which I do and I do recognize, it is tinged with the emptiness of not having Mylarry to ever share with again. This is really stupid and all, but I like it and try to remember it... every day you wake up above ground is a good day.

Nothing stupid about that in my opinion. Yet I’m not a religious person by any means, I love that this is the life you get. Fucking make it great!

Re: When was the last time your were this happy?
Sports... just a football game... but it can bring alot of joy(or misery) to some folks...
The "Kick 6", one of the craziest plays ever to end a huge rivalry game... fans reactions: At first a bunch of Bama fans upset with one Auburn fan enjoying it. Then a mixed audience at a bar. Then more upset Bammers...
But the kid 2 mins in takes the cake. One of the most enthusiastic nonsensical reactions to a game ever... makes me lolz just watching him... just skip to 1:58...

The Principles make for the great temporary experiment in the desert... So they also work in Defaultia.
It is a magical place but people Burn here and there daily in Defaultia. We were BBQing on the 4th... My friend(non Burner) was holding up a plate full of ribs yelling "Free ribs!” Such a Burner move... But everyone walking by just looked at him like he was crazy.
I had to move recently, so going thru things everytime a friend said something was cool or they liked something I said they can have it. Tripped them out a bit and made them happy.
