Lunar Disco has spots for New Campers

The 2019 Burn is almost upon us!

Every year Lunar Disco lays down a snazzy Burning Man theme camp and invites a number of newbies to join the core crew ... be it first timers, visitors from foreign lands, those of you coming back to the playa, and everything in between…

Whadda We Got?
- Returning with us in 2019 we have our GrazzHopper and OnTV art cars, which means if you make camp with us you too can style and profile all over the playa!
- Full kitchen set up, for make-your-own and group meal plans.
- 2 killer showers
- The typical assortment of hurricane-proof shade structures any self-respecting vets should possess, providing cool, common kitchen, bar and lounge areas for the posse.
- Camp generator, boatloads of tools, gear and all the shizzle you need to make it happen.

And what of you? What are we looking for?
Peeps who participate!

Whatever your skills or sensibilities, as long as you have the will to pitch in, get dirty and dusty as needed, then you’ll fit in AND have way more fun all along the way.

Extra big preference given to local-ish to San Francisco/Santa Rosa, CA and ability to start creating and building with us well before departure day. The building, staging and whatnot is happening now in Santa Rosa on “the Ranch”, which is a killer place to hang for the weekend, more so when you’re creating with a cool crew.
That said, some spaces reserved for out of town, out of country and out-of-this world campers… we like to sprinkle in many a flavor.

We make it simple for everyone to be part of the camp by having modest camp dues to cover the costs of the structure, art car maintenance, gas… etc.

Special special skills we’re looking for...

Designer
- Graphic design. Help bring our Grazzhopper and OnTV art cars to the next level in their 2nd year on the playa. You can sketch, doodle and noodle and help us solve the riddles…: ”how do you make an uber cool giant cricket head come to life”? “How does one add a giant polaroid camera feature to the OnTV experience?” You have design chops and practical knowledge of how things get built, so you can design something that can indeed be built.
- Camp design and décor, select accoutrements to accent the core infrastructure and make it sizzle. You’ve got panache, and the mindset of an interior designer on acid.

Builders of all sorts
- General construction/handyperson skills, to help with all manner of camp building (mostly metal tenting, some wood, etc) and art car build and maintenance on the playa

Electrical Whiz
- Upgrade battery and charging system for our 2 electric Art Cars
- Wiring for drive train, sounds system and more for the Art Cars

Write us if you’d like to camp with us! Tell us your strengths and what you can contribute to the camp! Also, let us know where you’re based & when you’re arriving to BRC!!

-Niki, Jenn, Eric and Max

I would love to camp with your camp, and find my tribe! This will be my second burn. I was part of a sound camp last year. Sadly, my camp isn't camping this year, so I must find another. I wasn't sure that I could attend until just a few days ago, so I am at the mercy of the camp gods 😉 My strengths are a can-do attitude, a desire to participate, a love for making people happy, a love of dancing, and a wicked sense of humor. I don't have any specific build skills, but my arrival and departure dates can be tailored to help build and breakdown the camp. I am limited in the amount of weight and bending I can do. I injured my back pretty severely last year, but I will do anything else that is needed. Clean, cook, organize, gopher, etc. etc. I am able to almost everything most people do I just have to modify how I do it and watch the amount of weight I lift. I am a project manager by trade if you need help with any planning, implementation, and/or management activities. I have a lot of free time to contribute. I can paint and decorate too! I appreciate your consideration, and I can provide references. Dusty dreams!
Sweetest Dreams, Burners!

Lunar Disco - Prepare for Launch 2019 Event

Home brew cider and creative artcar and camp structure workshop Saturday July 6th in Santa Rosa. 10am-10pm.

We've made our camp home in Santa Rosa and would like to invite fellow bay area builders and makers to our "it's about time to get serious" building event.
Would love to meet and share ideas and resources for the coming 2019 burn.

Also, if you know of people looking for a way to participate in a burning man camp or want to change things up we have a couple spots open this year in our 35 person camp.
