[pops the top on a bottle, pours a flute and sets on bar, then chugs the bottle]

See, I hardly ever come in here, but I can sense Moet and Chandon at any distance, any time, in any dimension.

unearths her secret stash of Perrier Jouette and sets it on the bar

Where's my flutes?

POP!!!

would you care for a flute, or would you prefer to just drink from a straw in the bottle, like me?

I tried champagne and popcorn yesterday.

It's a pretty good combo... weirdly. The high-brow and the low-brow come together as a snack...

Boxing Day? What the fuck is Boxing Day? Sounds like my Irish family get-togethers... except we call it "Irish Stand Down"

Coffee and chocolate this morning... and the remains of a good book, and more classical music... And a metaphysical waltz through a forest of rods, straightening things up as I go (don't ask, I can't explain)

So, Sam, does this mean that you've begun eating again??

Yes I am... but I may be going off the food again sometime soon. Even since last Tuesday (Whew!) I've had some insights and awarenesses that are leading me back into the super-contemplative mode that I just popped out of... very good things happining to the psyche...

But, for now... a few calories a day... but no alcohol... so it goes...

I admire your discipline Mr. Tzu.

Me, on the otherhand......mother's christmas brownies (not to be confused with my Extra Special Brownies) and four or more (who's counting?) bubblies! (Oh I get a good giggle with champagne!)

Speaking of my Extra Special Brownies.........[genie blinks a plate piled high with slightly crunchy (?) brownies and pours flutes of champagne all around and a spring water for Sam.]

i don't smoke pot, or eat it. and i'm not much of a carbonated whine person, either. but i've got an entire flask of vanilla key lime martinis sitting here that are just getting old, and i'm going to have to do something about that.

you two go back to your fun...

I don't see it as discipline... just, uh... what I'm doing next, I guess... and thanks for the spring water... it's just what this ol' rural boy needs...

nye has turned into one of my most important events of the year.

from hating the stupid go out to a bar and watch the clock count down to that one instant and then try to kiss someone and wonder what all the hoopla was about 5 seconds later thing, it is now a 4 day extravaganza with a couple hundred of my closest friends that makes burning man look like a tv reality show, community wise.

i'm sorry i won't be able to make it, but i'm already booked.

I do believe that I'll have pictures...

[on pins and needles waiting for GEs nye pix (such tasty eye candy treats)]

......speaking of pictures, I've got three rolls here waiting to be developed, and I think someone may have snapped one or two of me, and I intend to do the whole pictures-on-disk thing in order to share!

(btw, anyone, is there a trick for posting pictures besides having yer own website? The only way I've figured out to do it is the avatar slide show).
