Hey all - So, I get that a Low Income Ticket is not transferrable. Yet, burners granted a Low Income Ticket *do* get to purchase a $100 vehicle pass.
I see two conflicting things on the org's FAQs about the transferability of those VPs. One section states that $100 vehicle passes ARE transferrable. The other states that a Low Income Ticket grantee may purchase a $100 vehicle pass "for your own use."
An inquiry to the FAQ got me a response confirming point 2: "they are non-transferrable."
Just looking for your experience... which is it?
I'm not really interested in the academics over which way is the most fair, because I kinda sympathize with both sides. This is a logistical question, because my camp's infrastucture will be crippled without a few extra VPs. Our camp does, however, have a few Low Income Ticket grantees camping with us (but riding in with others) who could buy a pass & share it.
If that's allowed, anyway... Any experience on this? Thanks, everybody.

Re: Low Income Ticket holders: can you transfer your VP?
Very little interest here so far! - But a similar question just showed up on a social media site.
So I'm still curious about others' real-world experiences on this question. Any insight to share from past years, or unique understanding into 2019's rules?

Anyway, I just want to reiterate: this isn't an ethical question of what is "fair," because there are several ways to slice that. It's just a situational question of what is "allowed" in practice, in 2019. Thanks, all ...

Am I missing something? You 'buy' the VP at the box office. You have to be there to buy it. You stick it on whatever car and jump in. This works if you're in a convoy. If you want to know can that person pay for it and leave it there...Email [email protected] for the real answer.

Well yeah, it's a little different in 2019.
Apparently in 2019, you don't "buy" it at Box Office, but when you pay for your LI ticket. (Online, in advance.)
In case that explains the quandry... ?
(edited: "LI" for low-income ticket. I wrote "LE originally, because apparently I can't type.)
