The LOST & FOUND for 2019, https://lnf.burningman.org/, is not open yet.
Playa Info is still getting everything back from the playa.
And cataloging into the database anything that hasn't been cataloged yet.

In addition, there will be a Lost & Found thread sub forum on eplaya, created by moderators shortly after Burning Man. It's Monday. Some don't leave until Tuesday. And later if they're working to close down and clean up afer a larger theme camp.

This can be wrenching for some, particularily if they're needing something before they fly across the country, or to another country.

You can check https://burningman.org/event/lost-and-found/ in case the link for 2019 Lost & Found changes. Key words there are "Post-event". It's only Monday. It will happen. Give it time. (hard to do...)

Also be aware of exposing or doxing yourself.

Don't expose or dox yourself (if a lost item) or another person (if a found item)!!!!
Keep personal information to PMs (other than possibly a partial name as it appears on the lost or found item)

I am absolutely going to soft delete each and every one of the errant lost and found posts. I'll send a PM with each one so the OPs can copy and paste their post to the proper forums once they open.

I wasn't sure what the procedure was for those. I was thinking that maybe we would transfer them all to the L&F forums once they opened. But that would just be encouraging bad habits I guess.

Maybe the L&F forums should be opened before leaving for the Playa next year?

Either way is workable, but I send a short personal note with each. Open Discussion and the other forums can become unusable if the lost items get out of hand. Also, it helps to make contact with individuals, let them know the difference between eplaya and the actual Lost and Found at HQ, where the physical items are held, sorted, and posted. A matter of personal preference. I also like to head off long discussions which will not belong in L&F when they do open. It is what works for me, although maybe not for the mod team.

The forums may be set up, we might not be able to see them until they are active. We can discuss this elsewhere later though, I think.

Or I might just b losing my mind. It happens.

Hi , I lost my sunglasses last Friday , and I 'm trying to do the last effort to find it, but I don't understand what I have to do . Do I have to wait until when? and after the date you give me , should I write to who? there are more than one place/person to ask??? please someone can help me , I don't want to loose my last hope. There is the Lost and Found at HQ, who actually have the items and will post pictures of them them online. Here at eplaya, we will soon have lost and found forums. However, with everyone returning from the playa and getting their own lives in order on top of everything, it can take a little time. No one can give a date because ... we're still on playa time, apparently. It will happen. We do care.

I lost my prescription Ray-bans, frames I have had for about 15 years. Think I'm not chafing at the bit too? I am, but I know this is not on the same schedule as I am. Please, be patient along with me. We'll find our shit!
