stolen bike

Post by redbone » Tue Sep 10, 2019 12:34 pm

My 29" cruiser was stolen from Playalchemy on Friday 8/30.
It was parked on G street right by the row of 5th wheels and was not locked (my bad)
Made my way over to Funkytown and returned to a missing bike.
First bike stolen in 17yrs... not sure how to proceed

Bikes that are taken for convenience are usually used for a short time then just abandoned. Literally thousands of bikes are collected on the playa from people who lost them, had them stolen or just brought a junk bike and decided to leave it rather than dealing with it.
You can make a report with the lost and found, but the sad reality is your bike is gone.
Buy a medium grade lock and use it whenever your bike is left unattended next year.
I'm sorry you had your bike stolen and hopefully next year will be better.
