Hey there, welcome to ePlaya!

Just do your homework and find out what you need to bring and what you can expect then go on your own. You'll make friends just setting up you tent.

Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

A lot of people go solo Santino76, especially starting out. Your time is your own all week that way, so you're free to participate any way any how all week long. Or, on the other hand, you have lots of time now to research and find an appropriate camp that you would fit in well with.

Also, check your Regional groups!

Good luck

You may travel there by yourself, but once there you will not be alone, unless you chose to be alone.

Welcome to ePlaya! This place has a crazy amount of helpful information on living the burn.

I'm hoping to make this my first year as well and even though I'm looking to meet local regional folks and hook up with a camp beforehand, I'll most likely be going alone as well.
Though once there, like the previous poster mentioned I have no plans of remaining that way for my time there. I'm looking to make new connections with lots of people and I don't think that'll happen sitting alone in my tent. :D
