It appears that mr. trump had an idea in his head to try using both money and the promise of a White House visit as leverage to have Ukraine publicly announce an investigation into the son of his political rival, Biden. In pursuit of this personal objective, trump enlisted the help of others. He tried; it didn't work.

In other words, trump got caught soliciting a foreign government's help with his political campaign. That's a crime.

Now, let me ask you. Do YOU think it is OK to have foreign governments or foreign nationals or foreign money involved in American elections? If yes, then I am very curious to know why.
