Yes.

Drink enough V8 out of the bottle, then add …

1 can of beets puréed

1 oz lime juice

1/2 oz Tabasco

1/2 teaspoon pepper

… then drink and live forever without having to "Eat my vegetables"!!!

Plus it looks like blood.

I love pickled beets! Though I did have a reaction to raw beets, the one time I ate one from the garden. I guess that's even a thing, when I googled it...
yeah dirt, but, well, I've eaten plenty of dirt in my days...haaha
I mean, grass is fiber, cows are made from grass, so....

Beets do smell like dirt! They are pretty good for juicing though. I like to juice mine with carrots and a few grapes.

Also if you forgot that you drank beet juice your pee...I thought Something was seriously wrong one time

I drink powered beet juice , one small glass. Taste is bland so I add a dash of raspberry syrup

I don't know if canned beets are cooked, or processed, but you get yourself a can of beets and slice some really narrow and put 'em on a salad with a nice, vaguely sweet vinaigrette . . . maybe some sprinkled cheese of your choice, especially crumbled bleu or feta, but if necessary, something milder? It's so good.

I Often do things "just because"......and it seems, somewhere, I had read about raw beets, so, rubbed the dirt off, and took a bite (sliced a piece off with my knife). It was workable, like a turnip or such, and pretty good. Dirt, but with a nice beet flavor, too...well, good till my throat started itching and I started wheezing and got all tingly....

Hey there BVB!! Happy Holidays!
How's things back east?

Doing fine yg. We're having a nice warm break in the weather here this week, so I'm hoping to get more done outside. Certainly no shortage on that 'to do' list, but it's just nice not to have to bundle up so much while I'm at it.

Starting to build out a sort of toolroom area in the building, so hopefully when done, things will become better organized and easier to retrieve.

After being inundated with all the political news this week, I put my feet up and ended up watching Spock drive around inside an amoeba last night, and wouldn't you know, he botched the acetylcholine test again...

well, yay you! And to be fair, McCoy was just jealous, so was looking for something to complain about. And, Spock does save the day, after all. Luckily the tractor beam held him, after he "kicked it in the ribs" and he was taken free with the Enterprise, when they blew the thing up!
