Electronics engineer
Been playing with lights (and fire) since age 10.
Created micro burns in 90s some lasting for more then a month.
Found the real Burn on the WEB about 03 seemed scary.
Since 09 yearly tapping into the streams and blogs.

I would need large funds to get me and gear to BRC.
Dont bother, perhaps one day . . .

Ten Principles starting with Radical Inclusion
My dictionary says about 'Inclusion' == the action or state of including or of being included within a group or structure.

However this Inclusion goes with accepting the Principles; I also have to accept anyone as they are.

How about 'leave no trace' on the ePlaya. Is our trace not the only contribution to the site.

What am I doing here ? Trying to fit in ?

Chances are pretty slim I will ever make it to Nevada.
Perhaps a more local burn.

I kind of like the Principles and the effect on groups trying to live to them.
And chances are I will fit in as more or less like minded they will not differ much from my own life philosophy.

FOMO I personally do not like mnemonics as there is one for every character combination. Fear Of Missing Out.
Some are having that fear apparently.

How about doing will get you somewhere,
while just thinking about it does not get you anywhere.

I should be going to camp Envy. (Envy is based on FOMO)

OK here goes;
Radical Self-reliance should make you void the entire issue.
Radical Self-expression makes you show your a burner (birgin / virgin / ember ) at heart and perhaps only not present.
Communal support would be just dance along with the (Camp Envy) supporters on the playa.
Already being aware of Burning Man and trying to share the concept with the default world is a form of participation.
Immediacy as in reading comments from many burners around the world and feeling to be part of that part of the community. It is not much compared to being in the real Black Rock City.

I took the week off to follow the streams and 'drown' in the experience.
The first days setting up (barely functional) computers and connecting television and audio.

Only to find out my favourite Amp had a burnt out safety checking chip. Just bridged it. Worst case the entire amp will burn

Late Friday I found the Web-cast on the audio behind the video stream. I have had the stream active since Monday and not noticed the once an hour chat?

It feels great as 'your' presence is recognised on the playa.
I think I joined Camp Envy a long time ago.

The week feels like a roller coaster ride probably mainly by adapting 9 hours time difference.

We come from all over the world--then go home--and can't always wash our hands along the way.

Readjusted preparations; now writing the projected camp into a web page.

Even more time to prepare for next year.

Where the sheep sleep did finally happen.

Transformative? my ass.

Made lots of friends.

Managed to say yes to most offerings.

Who needed a saw? the thing kept being useful, cable shoes were misplaced in the storage of the Tool Library (Tool 'O' Theek). The Gennies puffed the whole time for our mains, fridges on a small stand in the puddly muddy grass. Am I the only one shielding cables running over passage ways . . . ? Had a tiny tent for every mains divider station One foot spirals for ground anchoring the camp sign and one of the tensegrities (meant for keeping a dog in place on the beach, great for securing large sail constructs in the mud).

Rolled into a dream camp for some reason. Did the thing with the Bell. We burned a chicken phoenix and did a lot of rain dancing. The Temple consists of a living willow bush, not allowed to be burned. Instead we had some ceremony with a bucket floating in the swamp and burning all left behind notices in it. More spectacular was the LASER show with four 10 W Lasers over the (partly artificial) misty swamp.

Made a peace dove, well it looks enough like a bird, but even with olive branch in its beak not really dove. The bird is suspended on a spring loaded rope, if you pull short strokes on the rope, it will flap its wings . Also a suspended sheep on its own little cloud. Both illuminated after dark (half an hour to midnight) with self fabricated spotlights. Several Tensegrities and a parasol stand without parasol filled with dangling shiny and colourful things.

We (Dream Camp Leonardo with a definitly human Vitruvian sign {male and female shapes}) collectively managed to raise a Geodesic Dome (part of a Buckminster Fuller sphere) first with a too little diagram then with a diagram for a much bigger dome and finally with the right one, finished just in time for the Burn night. DJ Rev Moon on the Theremin an our Loopstation Roelof produced hours of deafening EDM music so the soaked dancers hiding after the Bird burned had a great place to shake off the excess rain.

One big chaotic happening. still cracking down the mud from the gear.
