Re: My favorite video (today) thread
One of the best new versions of SNL. Would've never guessed that was Brad Pitt. Not a big fan of Miley Cyrus, but she did an awesome cover of "Wish You Were Here."
Re: My favorite video (today) thread
Is it me, or did it look like Miley Cyrus set up a "Singing from Hell backdrop?" I imagined she was serenading Donald Trump, as she sang "Wish You Were Here."

Coda. The Donald was sent to a military boarding school to correct his behavior. It did not work.

Inspiration for the virtual Burning Man, This trailer is focused on characters, but the real stars are the designs of the planets.

Re: My favorite video (today) thread
This documentary is about a guy who shows up at Burning Man with NOTHING. No clothes, no supplies, no shoes---NOTHING. It takes you on his adventure of surviving and thriving for the week as people help and donate things to him. This shows a nice slice of the playa. Note: he's really naked. You've been warned.

Yes, thanks for that. I've forwarded to many ...
The last time I heard Sacramento mentioned in film was in the movie "Crumb," where Robert explained his inspiration for ugly street views of USA came from a trip he made to Sac. Then I remembered his great portfolio on Kafka:

Speaking of Robert Crumb, if you've never seen these 12 panels of "A Short History of America", you won't be disappointed:

Re: My favorite video (today) thread
Yep, Crumb the movie was a bit of a strange ride, a little unsettling at times, but fascinating to watch. I do seem to recall the portion you mention DoctorIknow, where he talks about telephone poles and wires that exist right there in front of everyone in plain sight, so he put them in his art. That stuck with me too. I still stop and look at them for what they are on occasion, and yet normally we simply don't 'see' them. A good reminder and a metaphor of how much there is that gets ignored throughout a day.
