With all due understanding that Things Are Bad, this guy seems to be writing Outrage Porn. His statement: "That’s getting perilously close to 100K per day — the number north of which a society will simply begin ceasing to function in basic ways..." seems unfounded. Again, I'm not saying that the USA and many other countries are up Shit Creek without a proverbial paddle, but he seems to be squeezing the situation for all the emotion he can wring from it. Let's think about concrete things we can do to survive this, rather than ringing the fear bell.
