A doc that Netflix has made free on youtube back in April. It's part of their resources for teachers who needed them for students who didn't have access to Netflix. https://media.netflix.com/en/company-bl ... umentaries

Re: What are you watching?
I have two incredible movie recommendations, both by the same director:
Embrace of the Serpent followings two western adventurers as they journey deep into the Amazon.
And the more recent, Birds of Passage, a beautiful gangster epic that takes place among the natives of northern Colombia.

Re: What are you watching?
Yo, Yggy, I still get chills up my spine when I think of Robert Duvall's role and the end of his monologue:
"Some day this war's gonna end...….
Spooky.
Ever read the Joseph Conrad book that it's derived from, Heart of Darkness? I highly recommend it.
I stumbled upon an interesting Rube Goldberg device at the prompting of a friend and thought I'd show you. You'll watch nearly anything interesting when you're trapped by the pandemic:
Finally, I wanted to tell you of my new obsession - professional wrestling. Yes, I know the outcomes are predetermined, but the 'getting there' is half the fun as the storyline is told both inside and outside of the squared circle. I stay away from the mainstream, and follow a whole slew of promotions from the US and abroad. There are promotions on every continent except Antarctica. Just last week I saw the first promotions from mainland China and from Pakistan. How the fans react differs from country to country as well.
Included in my list of promotions I'm following:
Progress Wrestling (British 'strong' style) - London
ICW - Insane championship Wrestling - out of Glasgow, Scotland
German Wrestling Federation - Munich, Germany
Impact New Zealand
AAA - Tijuana, Mexico
IWGP - Japan
And these are just the international offerings. The US promotions run all over the US and Canada.
I miss Lucha Underground.

Somewhat more trippy than even movies about the Vietnam War.
It's fun to be blasted - temporarily - into a place where nothing makes sense at all, then return to a place where at least one or two things make sense.

"When I was in grade school, I remember our teacher reading this to us. I don't remember getting to this scene. Maybe she recognized the unrest she'd be encouraging..."
Nothing more American than disrespecting royalty, eh wot?

You Tuber "Foresty Forest." He drove a well equipped, Soccer Mom Mini Van to the edge of the Arctic ocean. "Into the Wild," and back again. He's my Hero!!! Hence my next project. "Project Arctic Fox 🦊."
Re: What are you watching?
Jonna Jinton-The Life of an Artist in the Nordic Wilderness-Story... Another personal definition of my "Sparkle Pony." Why? Because of her eyes, her smile, and she reminds me of the little girl I brought up. So fuck you assholes that jumped on my shit, cause I didn't know your definition!!! She just hit 2,000,000 subscribers. You owe it to yourself to take a break from life, and free fall into her world.

Re: What are you watching?
Canoe, thanks for posting that video.
I get chills up and down my spine when I hear that song because of five magical years in Philadelphia, PA. The arena would be filled with fans, the lights would go out, the music would start, and a spotlight would bring into focus one aisleway into the arena. At the top of that aisle, swilling a beer, cigarette in one corner of his mouth, a Singapore cane held high in one hand would be one of the toughest men on the ECW roster -- the Sandman. This was before 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin ever brought a beer into a WWF arena event. The Sandman would fight the toughest foes on the ECW roster- the suicidal, homicidal, genocidal maniac Sabu or the innovator of violence Tommy Dreamer. But to begin it all, Sandman would get one of the biggest pops (crowd reactions) in the pro wrestling business. Those were the days.

My buddy who rents a room from me , he has throat, and bone cancer , docs say its not cureable . He has gone from 158lbs to 118lbs
, they finally got a feeding tube in him , so he is climbing up , he is at 124lb now . He is 67 , with treatment he could go many years more I hope. But its not a great thing to see someone suffer

Re: What are you watching?
I know your path. I went through this with my father for four years. To the point I was dealing with feeding tubes and diapers here at the house. With no help from anyone. Not because it was not offered but because of my own pride to not take the help. The good memories that are left behind will help get you through .....at least it does for me.
Let me tell you a story about when my mom died.
Three days before we knew she was going to pass. I came down from Sacramento so I could sit with her. During that time she’s told me in a weak Voice Michael you know that I have a photographic memory don’t you? Which is actually true and I do know that. Yes mom as She drew me in closer with a weak voice and as I came closer she leaned up in bed and says in a raised voice and Michael I remember everything you did to!!!
During that short period time she also told me to make sure that when she passed to please close her mouth. Because when her aunt passed her mouth was wide open.
So as my sisters and my father and I are all standing around her after she passed.
I see that her mouth is open ....so I told my sister to close it for me. Because of gravity ...her Mouth opens right back up.
With frustration I expressed oh great the last thing mom asked me to do and I can’t do that right either.
That’s when my sisters and my dad Burst into laughter. My mom had pulled a joke on me after death. And left everyone laughing.
It’s OK to mourn but don’t lose the good stuff.

Re: What are you watching?
Just watched a clip of Tiffany trump shilling for her snake dad at a trump for Pride event.
It was hilarious and surreal. She dances like that belated carcass who she calls dad and she left out the T in LGBTQIA.
She’s trying way to hard for dads approval. She’ll never be his #1 squeeze, never going to be his daughter wife.
