Everyone is so politically fucked up that they're segregating themselves in the name of equal rights and liberation.

Re: My favorite video (today) thread
I noticed that was a 48 star US flag in the backdrop of some scenes. Using a 1959 vintage background makes me somewhat doubt the veracity of the message.

Re: My favorite video (today) thread
Maybe the GIF of the waving 48 state flag is from current RNC files and next on Trumps list after the Puerto Rico sale might be Hawaii to the Japanese and Alaska to the Russians,,,, how could Russia not want it after being cheated in their sale of Alaska to USA for 7mil in 1867? That's only 122mil (with inflation) in 2020, and USA for sure didn't disclose that black gold was right under the surface.

Re: My favorite video (today) thread
There's probably a bit more concerning information in that, besides how many stars are in the flag!

I found this more relaxing than watching puppy videos to get my mind out of this abomination of what's happening in 2020, and instead, look at the big picture:

Re: My favorite video (today) thread
There are a lot of wildfires in the West now. That's not new. And in our areas they aren't as fast in populated areas as was Paradise. But there is one about 20 miles away I could see, no danger to me, with other fires friends are being evacuated, and visibility is about a mile.
We are all watching https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/ and have an evacuation pack.
We had bad smoke from the Eagle Creek fire about 3 years ago where all you taste is smoke. This is similar.
So I'm pulling out an old favorite science fiction road trip movie Until the End of the World. It's prescient with its subplot of something like Musk's Neuralink and this brain research going back to 2011
Anyway for everybody escaping the fires on a road trip
(You can easily find the full movie)

You can turn off the music if you like. But the costuming and wildness is fun in this supercut of Diana Rigg in the '60s Avengers.
