doubtful.
Fishy is probably still "all time with one account" highest, and, there are a few here with multiple socks, who's totals would be way up there.

Elliott, Le Chat Noir is on target regarding Kentucky bourbon, but have you ever considered Missouri bourbon? We now have GREAT local micro-distillers here, too. Wood
Hat distillers out of Montgomery City has one of the best, which I’m a huge fan of, Called Rubenesque. If he and Karine ever show up here,(or you) I’d be happy to take you to the distillery.

You rang m'Rhino?
Gosh, we talked about bourbon back in ages ago!
But now that you mention it....
Provided the servings are modest and not-too-frequent, I would indeed enjoy sampling different flavors.
And it so happens... I have been thinking of traveling a bit, once the pandemic is behind us. Perhaps visit Burners around the country, yes, possibly.
I sure do need to Get Da Heck Outta Clearlake More.
Not sure if I would drive Millicent (the 40-foot camping bus), or my small-economical car and hope to find a couch every night.
Hmmm... Millicent needs more repair first, but such a trip could not begin for quite a while yet anyway. (Thinking out loud.)
As for the mention -- a page or so back -- of a "Sven" and Silent Radio Theater....
There was (is) indeed a Sven-Erik in Herring Camp, and the Herrings did indeed appear in Silent Radio Theater -- as did Kamp Apokiliptika -- but that was a long time ago.
Was anyone called Sven "on the air"? Perhaps you are thinking of the hero of the story, who was called... yes... Our Hero.
And I would first have to rejoin human society, so to speak, if I were to cook up any such silliness again.

ANNOUNCER
You heard "Ingrid's Lament" from "Peer Gynt", composed by Edvard Grieg in 1875 -- performed by Eva Knardahl with the Oslo Filharmoniske Orkester... somewhat more recently.
And now, we interrupt this program to take you to our studio on the shores of beautiful downtown Clearlake...

...as Silent Radio Theater presents – live and direct for your listening pleasure...

...Revenge Of The Bicycles!...
[sound effects of mechanical noises clanking and grinding, and numerous bicycle-bells a-ringing]
...starring Pale Cycler...

...Our Hero!...
[ba-da-bing-clash! and trumpets blaring. The crowd goes wild]
Yes, Our Hero, Bicycle Repairman!

[studio technician turns hand-crank on applause-generator]
NARRATOR:
We meet Our Hero as he begins loading up The Stuff for The Event at the Camp International Off-Season HeadQuarters Little Red Barn:

Only afterward... does he realize it would be easier to put wheels and a hitch on the barn and simply bring the whole little red thing to the Playa as a trailer instead of the puny trailer currently in use. Well, next year.
Eventually, though, he arrives at his chosen location to set up the shop, and...

...the faithful crew goes eagerly to work, building camp:

Camp Foreman Rick snaps his fingers, and appropriate equipment duly appears...

...and the camp is soon complete.
Though, even before all the shade is installed, Our Hero responds promptly to a desperate call for Bicycle Repairman! – which is why he is called Our Hero, duh.

Even so...

...nothing happens in this camp unless under the watchful eyes of The Supervisory Team, Maryanimal and Unjonharley.
Well... almost nothing....
Stay tuned for the next exiting episode of As The Wheels Do Not Always Turn! on most of this station [because this station is not always all here – but you smart folks out there in radio-land knew this already].

ANNOUNCER:
We now return you to the Grieg concerto of Peer Gynt suite No. 2, in progress....

Thanks Elliot! thanks for bringing back some of the fun stuff here at the bar...
We used to have several characters who'd provide fun and entertainment, witty repartee, advice, snark, and all around jocularity. I, for one, miss our resident Mule, and it's cheese doodle addictions, and antics related.
The ECM, HTOR, ROS, SCC, all the things.
Cheers, Elliot, to you!

Thank you, both!
I will pencil in the Blue Ridge Mountains for a possible visit, if I embark on such a tour one day.
And we ought to be able to rustle up some silliness here in the Bar in the meantime -- especially this time of year, and with the covid on the upswing again.
I have started on a second episode of this new season of Silent Radio Theater, but maybe we can involve more of us? It is not like it needs to be done exactly the way I have done it.
And all of us can hunt for more-or-less-hidden references in the "radio shows".
For example, where is the photo of "beautiful downtown Clearlake" actually from?
Or the phrase "This is a job for Bicycle Repairman!"?

Elliott, ygmir, gaminwench, and others interested,
I'm always up for a visit from friends here in central Missouri. Depending on the time of year, we can converse over a bottle of Missouri's finest wine at the blufftop bistro of Les Burgeois vineyards and winery and fine restaurant or partake of fine Thai delicacies served on paper plates at Mama Chim's restaurant at Cooper's landing. We're halfway between St. Louis and Kansas City on I-70, so both cities are also realistic day trips, Ever been to the top of the Gateway Arch? Ever had the world's best barbecue in Kansas City, eating where Harry Truman once hung his hat at dinnertime? Adventure awaits at Casa de Rhino......
Or if you want to just kick back. relax, and go fishing, I can arrange that, too! Drop me a line here on e-playa when you're up to it...........

I needed that....heading in for my first appointment to get a crown on a tooth. dang 2.5 hour appointment. ugh.
The dentist thinks is a result of the auto accident I was in in late Sept., and my tooth cracked, then finally broke later.

Re: Re: The 2025 Burning Man Bar is open
Ygmir, I agree, that was quite funny.
I don't know why, but it made me think of many years ago, in 1978 when I was still in the Boy Scouts. Back then, I was really starting to appreciate Monty Python a lot for the synchronized humor aspect. At the summer camp on Watts Bar Lake, a huge Tennessee Valley Authority dam and lake complex, the humor was often what I refer to now as "Pythonesque". That's usually the next-to-last stage in development of a sensible humor, followed closely thereafter by "Carlinesque".
But I digress.
Back in those days, pre-flash mob synchronized activity was unheard of, but one night after dinner we did it anyway. One of the leaders got up in the dining hall and began to speak in his dreaded, long-winded custom. Somebody in my troop loudly yelled, "Killer rabbit!" Before two seconds were up, most of my troop had exited the dining hall to mad cries of "Run away! Run away!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcxKIJTb3Hg
Always worth a laugh.
