Hat distillers out of Montgomery City has one of the best, which I’m a huge fan of, Called Rubenesque. If he and Karine ever show up here,(or you) I’d be happy to take you to the distillery.

And it so happens... I have been thinking of traveling a bit, once the pandemic is behind us. Perhaps visit Burners around the country, yes, possibly.
I sure do need to Get Da Heck Outta Clearlake More.
Not sure if I would drive Millicent (the 40-foot camping bus), or my small-economical car and hope to find a couch every night.
Hmmm... Millicent needs more repair first, but such a trip could not begin for quite a while yet anyway. (Thinking out loud.)

As for the mention -- a page or so back -- of a "Sven" and Silent Radio Theater....
There was (is) indeed a Sven-Erik in Herring Camp, and the Herrings did indeed appear in Silent Radio Theater -- as did Kamp Apokiliptika -- but that was a long time ago.
Was anyone called Sven "on the air"? Perhaps you are thinking of the hero of the story, who was called... yes... Our Hero.
And I would first have to rejoin human society, so to speak, if I were to cook up any such silliness again.

Only afterward... does he realize it would be easier to put wheels and a hitch on the barn and simply bring the whole little red thing to the Playa as a trailer instead of the puny trailer currently in use. Well, next year.


Eventually, though, he arrives at his chosen location to set up the shop, and...

For example, where is the photo of "beautiful downtown Clearlake" actually from?
Or the phrase "This is a job for Bicycle Repairman!"?

We're halfway between St. Louis and Kansas City on I-70, so both cities are also realistic day trips, Ever been to the top of the Gateway Arch? I needed that....heading in for my first appointment to get a crown on a tooth. dang 2.5 hour appointment. ugh.
The dentist thinks is a result of the auto accident I was in in late Sept., and my tooth cracked, then finally broke later.

Ygmir, I agree, that was quite funny.

I don't know why, but it made me think of many years ago, in 1978 when I was still in the Boy Scouts. Back then, I was really starting to appreciate Monty Python a lot for the synchronized humor aspect. At the summer camp on Watts Bar Lake, a huge Tennessee Valley Authority dam and lake complex, the humor was often what I refer to now as "Pythonesque". That's usually the next-to-last stage in development of a sensible humor, followed closely thereafter by "Carlinesque".

But I digress.

Back in those days, pre-flash mob synchronized activity was unheard of, but one night after dinner we did it anyway. One of the leaders got up in the dining hall and began to speak in his dreaded, long-winded custom. Somebody in my troop loudly yelled, "Killer rabbit!" Before two seconds were up, most of my troop had exited the dining hall to mad cries of "Run away! Run away!
