Work sucks.... I have been balls to the wall since 6:30 this morning. They put our department on half staff (the rest of the corporation has the week off) and yet the work is coming along just like it always does...
... and the only shots of me from Seattle are of my ass....
Could I get a scotch and a hug?

I've always been a major wallflower. It's why I prefer small, cozy parties with a small group of people. I was a massive introvert early on in life.
If I'm being deliberately obnoxious (ie. caco events, santacons, etc.) then I tend not to be an introvert- but that's mostly from acting out. Since I tend to have major fun doing it, I tend to gravitate towards more bizarre parties/events where this is more parr for the course.
And I absolutely despise uberhipster/yuppie/eurotrash parties.

Speaking of small, wild, and a little off the beaten path, will you be venturing to the Golden Gala that the Mrrp girls are hosting tomorrow night?Rob the Wop wrote:I've always been a major wallflower. That's her! That's her! That's the woman that stole Sensei's heart! Check out her oh-so-kissable blue lips! She rode a blue unicorn on the carousel, and looked oh-so-lovely while she waved her pageant-beauty wave. Seriously, Sensei fell hard for that one... Thank god I'll probably never see her again.

OK, If anyone hears or reads about the helicopter crash in in Death Valley, I was not on it. I don't know the details yet about the crash but I could sure use a friggin big drink right now. Maybe I should not fly anymore? This always goes through my mind when something like this happens. But Jeeeebus, helicopters and fire and mayhem are such a rush. On second thought, why don't you just hand me a big glass of Trader Joe's carrot juice.

That would be the Trailer Trash 2000 Beauty Pagent and Hoedown, thank you. Actually, I despised them far prior to that- though it did help. There's nothing worse than having your favorite dive bar become the center of attention for a bunch of whiney, chain smoking, self-absorbed, shallow 20-30 somethings dressed in leather jackets and 60's style thin tie suits that think Quentin Tarantino is a fashion god. *shudder*Rian Jackson wrote:is this something to do with the white trash bar?Rob the Wop wrote: And I absolutely despise uberhipster/yuppie/eurotrash parties.
holding a grudge are we?
Drink prices go up, the drinks become weaker, and the collective IQ goes down. The once lovable cheesy velvet art on the walls then gets replaced with generic 'fashion' art from your local artistic equivilant of Kmart.
Yah, just a little grudge. Fucking pinko commies.

Gosh, Rob, I am almost the same way. I think I am guilty of way overthinking stuff and reading things into situations that are really just figments of my imagination. So in real life, I am likely to be pretty quiet until I come up with some entertaining stunt to pull and that tends to work better at the bizarre parties. Stupid stuff is liberating.Rob the Wop wrote:I've always been a major wallflower. It's why I prefer small, cozy parties with a small group of people. I was a massive introvert early on in life.

Nope. Love to see them, but I have prior stuff planned for NYE. Erin is such a funny sweetheart, she reminds me in looks and behavior of my sis down in Palmdale.Sandwichman wrote:Speaking of small, wild, and a little off the beaten path, will you be venturing to the Golden Gala that the Mrrp girls are hosting tomorrow night?Rob the Wop wrote:I've always been a major wallflower. Yeah, it's tough to walk away from those things... lot of solid pieces flying off in all directions... Yup, me too... however, I don't think it's the wallflower thingy: I just need to get more interested in something before I'll take part in it. If I'm bored, I'm bored. I would rather read a book, or write (poetry, observations, etc.), than take part in something that doesn't interest me.Rian Jackson wrote:i hear ya'll. it can take a great deal of effort for me not to do wallflower.

Hey! I like how you put that. May I adopt it as a personal point of view? My old stomping grounds. Lotsa weird shit happens on that base. Just don't try to do a fly over to look for the crash site. They have a teensy weensy little problem with that whole airspace thingy.helitack wrote:Don't know who yet, thinking its probably military out of China Lake. I have not heard. I almost did a ride along with the Ranger that was first on scene, but chose to come back to the Castle instead. There is a huge MOA here and I have a feeling if it's military, it's a Blackhawk, but i have not heard. I am listening to the radio traffic. Everything happens here at once.samtzu wrote:Chinook?
