Well, we are now officially a third-world banana republic, with Mr. Trump as Maximumly Bananas For Life In Chief.

"They knew it could happen. They feared that Donald Trump would pull a "Samson," bringing down the whole house on top of him in the two weeks before he left the White House. Officials from the FBI, the Secret Service, Homeland Security, the District of Columbia government, the Pentagon, the National Guard, and the Joint Task Force–National Capital Region who spoke to Newsweek last weekend on condition of anonymity, all talked about the potential for protesters and militias and paramilitary goons—egged on by the president—to storm Capitol Hill and even the Capitol building itself."

Found on twitter...
If the FBI offered PS5s as rewards for identifying all the domestic terrorists who stormed the Capitol building we would have had a detailed excel sheet breakdown of every one of them YESTERDAY.

That is not only hilariously comical -- but also sadly perhaps close to true, symbolizing so many people's mindless priorities these days. (I had to look up "PS5".)
Now... here is one seditionist who -- according to rumor on Fb -- has been quite firmly identified -- and fired by his employer, whose ID badge the tactical genius was prominently displaying.

"A US Capitol Police officer has died from events stemming from Wednesday's riot at the Capitol, three sources confirm to CNN, in which a mob of President Donald Trump's supporters stormed the building to stop the counting of electoral votes that affirmed President-elect Joe Biden's win.
Lawmakers say they are perplexed at the lack of preparedness among law enforcement given that it had been known for weeks that Trump was promoting a rally he said was aimed at preventing the certification of Biden's win.
As a result of the episode, US Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund is resigning."

That "strategy of disruption" has its roots in the 2000 Brooks Brothers Riot, which disrupted vote counting for the 2000 presidential elections and helped to hand the election to G.W. Bush. Unsurprisingly, the Brook Brothers Riot was orchestrated by none other than Trump-pardoned Roger Stone.
It seems that these kinds of civil and bureaucratic proceedings need to be protected against these strategic disruptors by force, as we cannot depend on respect, decorum, or civility to to allow such proceedings to operate unmolested.

Also remember how the Michigan militia invaded their state legislature in 2018 with "open carry" firearms and basically got away with it. This is called a "trial balloon". They knew what they could get away with in Washington DC.BBadger wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 6:47 pmThat "strategy of disruption" has its roots in the 2000 Brooks Brothers Riot, which disrupted vote counting for the 2000 presidential elections and helped to hand the election to G.W. Re: Politics, Everyday, All day... morning, noon and night....II
“The president was trying to stage a coup. There was little chance of it happening, but there was enough chance that the former defense secretaries had to put out that letter, which was the final nail through that effort. They prevented the military from being involved in any coup attempt. But instead, Trump tried to incite it himself,” said Fiona Hill, Trump’s former top Russia adviser. “This could have turned into a full-blown coup had he had any of those key institutions following him. Just because it failed or didn’t succeed doesn’t mean it wasn’t real.”

Ah, but this is not over, and will not be over.
Mr. Trump might drop dead tomorrow, or live on for many years. But when he dies, Donald Junior will step right into his shoes. The cultists -- and there are 70 Million of them -- will not even need to change the name on their banners. And they will adjust to the younger face in a matter of days. Worship of The Donald Trump will not miss a single beat.
That is what we need to work on. And our best hope is probably a vastly improved education system.
Elliot has spoken. YMMV.

There is hope, imho as there are legions of young people who do care and want better conditions and who do not cotton to the trumpists, republicans or democrats. I don’t know if a lot of democrats know that yet though...lol

If it ruins the GOP, it may just be worth it, but then maybe we'll get something worse... or maybe it'd be that way anyway but with the veneer stripped off. The next authoritarian will be far more competent.

I submit this video as evidence in the Impeachment of Donald Trump.
Donald Trump engaged in "violent, deadly and seditious acts" which betrayed his trust as President and endangered the security of the United States.

- On Nov. 24, Trump installed former Nunes aide, Kash Patel at the DOD. Why?
- On Jan. 4, Trump gave @DevinNunes a medal of freedom. Why?
- On Jan. 6, when Trump incited the insurrection, DOD took over an hour to send in the national guard. Why?
The race is on. Which comes first, a slew of pardons or impeachment? There is no going back.
No moving on.
They are beating a cop to death on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in the name of Donald Trump, The Trump family, Senator Ted Cruz and Senator Josh Hawley and many other enablers.
