Did'nt think I would be here, but just so happens that we meditated with singing bowls and it just ended in time to wish you all the best. Felt alot guilty celebrating, so's we had a humble gathering instead. sent some energy over to Southeast Asia. Where it is needed. Read Badgers post in "Note to self" Blew me away.

Bambi!!!! Ain't seen ya in forEVer, babe! So glad you are sending your energy to SE Asia, where it surely is needed. Will try to schlep my keister over to the Red Cross or whatever to donate blood, as I understand they are SERIOUSLY lacking it for this holiday weekend...

Whoof! Signing off, all my dementions and dementites! Too f#*ked up to keep up the fight. I popped open the champagne @ 12:00 when I needed to support the Burners' infantry charge out of the trenches, and now I need to kick back and relax. Love ya, babes (and that includes all you guys, in a non-sexual way). Got the incense burning, the radio going, and I'm getting ready to do my first pass-out in 2005!

Love your show! Snxxxxx....

*peers through tent flap, sniffs air*

Geez, it smells like cheap vodka and 24-year-old mook in here. I wonder what that's all about.

Well, time to make the coffee. Got some Kenya AA Nyeri Estate here. It isn't the greatest, but it'll do.

Better make a big fuggin' pot for today. Happy 2005 to all!

*Tall dark stranger wanders in. Sniffs the air, notices a hint of mook, and the sweat of many bodies that have passed through here in the last few months. He waves to the regulars, gets himself a cup of coffee and pours a generous dollop of Bushmills into it. He wanders over to the window facing the Sierra and admires the dusting of snow that has settled there. He wanders to the window facing South East Asia, and says a prayer for all those that are still suffering. He wanders to the window facing Iraq and says a prayer for all those that are suffering there.

He then finds his usual seat, raises his cup, and says,
Although it has always been so, this year, may it be better! He sips, settles back, and listens to the Vienna Philharmonic's Annual New Year's Day Concert*

mmmm, coffee......thanks. So I'm here at my folks house, tying up their phone line. Not the same experience on this little computer as my own lightning-quick, ergonomically correct set up.

I just saw the Rob-the-Wop an hour or two ago... He's the man to ask about the dreaded absinthe. I'll take the his Reindeer Fucker any day of the week, though. I'd better let him explain what that is, too.

So that's where my hangover went.

I sure drank enough but the body is not feeling near the pain it should be. Not that I am complaining.

Happy New Year to ya all.

The place I was at last night was insane. 150 people packed into a small house. Almost everyone was a friend in some way. The only thing missing was my E-playa family. Although I did get to hang with "Wovenone" for a good portion of the night. Solovox tore it up with his banging live set even when he blew the circuit breaker three different times. I danced, I drank, and I survived.

Spent a nice NYD that included a mid-day feast at a friend's house where he makes all the Japanese auspicious new year's foods. Special bonus: going out to his studio to hear him play uber-loud metal guitar on the Strat.

And now, drinking a Tecate to take it down a notch.

Tomorrow it's a 2.5-hour drive into New York City to take the 3-year-old to a cousin's birthday party. Woo-hoo, right?

Thanks for the coffee, Giggles ... and Happy New Year to you.

Yeah, those 3yo b'day parties are awesome! You can learn all kinds of things ... like ... Blue Bubble Gum is not absorbed by the body AT ALL.

the best part of the kids' parties is often the adult drama as long as you can stay out of the line of fire yourself.

It certainly does exist. And in very tangible form. In fact, many tangible forms. I will show it to you, on the playa, in 05. Okay?

I see it all the time if I'm looking, and oftentimes it sneaks up and surprises me when I'm not.
