I confess that I like the fact that Giggles still plays 'dress up'...

I also confess that I wish I did that more...

I further confess that I'm going to start!

I confess that when I get extited I have a habit of rubbing my hands together rapidly.

I further confess that this has been happening a lot lately.

I confess that I've needed a slight attitude adjustment for a little while now. I've been on the whiny, sour, and bitter side.

I confess that I haven't been doing the outdoors things I love to do, and I need to make sure to do them so I am happier.

I confess I am concerned that buying a house in the winter is going to cut into my snowboarding time, but luckily my boyfriend is in the same boat and we say screw that! The house can wait when there's snow to ride!

I confess I geeked on the beau tonight. I drove way the fuck out there through intermittent rain, with poor visibility and a shoddy car. Got there with my feathers a bit ruffled, and the beau did his "it's all about me" routine (but did show me where a gazillion geese had landed out in hte huge swampy farm pastures; I could hear them but not see them! I've never heard anything like it, and he did show me his family's old farm land, all wild and grown over, and so quiet there with coyotes calling in faraway distance, and all sorts of life all around, and the rain falling gently) subconsciously, or consciously, or whatever, I wanted to stay; but then I was all geeked out on another with the beau, and no one was really talking. So he gathered up his stuff and I let him drive me back to my car, and I got in and drove all the way fucking back here, into the city.

So here at home, I ate the rest of my birthday present from my friend Smiley H, with the huge heart, and I'm on a whirlwind deep-cleaning tour of my house sans kids, and throwing out all manner of shit, and ecstatic about the *fantastic* set up lovely Ms. Tish left for us in the bar!

I confess I loved the look I got from people when I told them I was going to Burning Man.

And I confess that my best experiance at BM was introducing Ring O Fire (with his Black Rock Ric name tag during the Meet & Greet) to Badger and company and hearing Ring screaming "Ring O Fire!, Ring O Fire!" as hands closed around his neck.

Does that make me a bad person?

Ahem, it was hand, not hands and I didn't even go for the throat; it was a carotid pinch. that leaves the left hand free to strike or block and really is not that dangerous. It is a controlling move that gives you time to evaluate the situation. Granted the time was measured in milli-seconds, he did sing out real quick. I apologized and he said that he was sorry that he had startled me.

AND, I think we were both set up by somebody, (Sam? calsur?) a few minutes before this happened I had been told that BRR was lurking about.

I confess that stories like the above will probably keep me from ever actually attending the M&G. Which is really something when you consider how much I like Doc Pyro.

Not that I don't love you guys, it's just...

I confess that last night was not the way I had hoped to start the new year (snowing bad, came home early to avoid getting snowed in) so hopefully tonight I can remedy that.

On the other hand I would have missed a couple of cool phone calls if I hadn't came home early.

I confess that it was my own probably-less-than-brilliant idea to put on the BRR name tag at the M&G. I knew all about BRR's thinly veiled threats against the Cryptofishist, but thought, "Aw, what the hell? This should be good for a few laughs, even if some people do get pissed off...and even if they do, fuck 'em!"

I also confess that Capt GD was standing right beside me when I told the name-tag-maker-outer guy that I was BRR; his words were something like, "Dude, you're fucking crazy!"

I further confess that I never really thought I was going to get the living shit beat out of me, since Badger and Karma were still holding their drinks in front of them when Silver grabbed my throat. I did however think that Silver might put the sleeper hold on me.

Finally, I confess that I still think it was worth it, and that I'm sitting here with an ear-to-ear grin as I write this.

[BTW, Cryptofishie and I both had a great belly laugh when she saw my BRR name tag at the M&G]
...but it seemed like such a good idea at the time...

I was there when Silver lunged at Ring, and it WAS funny, because about ten seconds before it happened, I almost did it myself. I saw his name tag, clinched my fist, and then saw the firey red beard and hair... and realized it was the perfect Burner Put-On... I laughed, took him over to Silver, and Silver didn't show my restraint.... which was also funny, and very heartwarming. It was a good laugh all the way around, mainly because it showed that that no one fucks with our friend Fishy...

I confess... I loved it...

Actually I was rather pleased by my reactions, a long time ago I had some specalized training in 'Nutralize and evaluate' and I found that the training had held.
For those how do not know the whole story; BBR and I had been sparring for a while and just before Burning Man he had stated that he had bought a ticket for himself and a confederate and was planning on tracking down Fishist and was going to do 'something'. I stated that he should visit me first and gave some fairly detailed directions on how to find me. I had long thought that BBR was a nut job that was no threat but I still carry scars from previous incorrect evaluations (I was a abnormal psychology student/assistant therapist in the '70's). In any case, an individual appearing out of the Playa gloom announcing that he was the individual who had threatened a (by my standards) a defenseless female triggered an automatic reaction. It did not help matters that I had met Fishy several days before and had heard first hand the problems that she was having and along with that she was in the company of Fatboy, one of my best friends.

Ring, you are right, a sleeper hold is what I was going for, I can pick up 50 lb plates with thumb and forefinger.

I was there and remember when Ring and the captain showed up but I don't think I saw the encounter as anything serious.

Gees, people could be killed before my eyes and it wouldn't register until the dead was done.

So ah, Silver, what is it you do for a living again?

Well, I am an old fashioned computer geek who runs a main frame operation. As an aside I am a B level fencer, hold brown belts in three different styles, am what could be called an expert in women's self defense, have been trained in SAS tactics, Ranger training and tactics (excepting jump school) and have helped teach E&E. I was the family's first hope for a general officer. There I failed, I just was not interested.

I confess that I confessed this because I'm every bit the same sort of smartass that RingO'Fire is... and I don't wanna get the sleeper hold.

Hey, I thought it was it fuckin' hilarious. Maybe not worth being killed for... but funny nevertheless.

And upon further refection, I also understand Silver2's snapping like that, too. BRR had indeed issued threats, which needs to be pointed out to get the full ha-ha factor, and not end up with Silver2 as the bad guy in all this.

My hat's off yo ya' Ring... Smartass. God bless 'ya, brother.

I confess I'm sorry I missed that. Iconfess that I'm sorry I didn't have someone take a pic of me and ring. I confess that I really felt affirmed by how protective you e-playans were of me when ric threatened me. I confess that I half-expect that I expect brr to show up with a "4 LLamas of the Apocolypse" sock.
