Ygmir, there was a rooftop hot tub, in the old bar, I recall. I’ve been trying out a little mat for a camp chair with a 5v usb heating element. @12v, for a shorter time (shut-off is built-in) it might qualify as a heating pad.

I'd rather have 80F than 8 when hauling a trailer. I pulled a 14k trailer over Monida and got caught in a blizzard half way up once. Thought I'd have to settle up right there on the mountain.

Hi, Yggy!! It certainly HAS been a while!
Of course, I still have my trike. I often fantasize about riding it on that cool road between Nevada City and Grass Valley. There are roads around AZ and NM and Utah as good as that one.

Hi Montanarchist. Yeah I dunno about this 80 degrees in Feb. If this keeps up, Fire season could be a doozy! I hope not... My fire insurance went from 2400/yr to 7000/yr, I can't really handle that, let alone much more. And no options out there, save "no insurance"...
I do remember the old days, when we'd get real winters here. I always prepare for them, mostly, in vain...

Hi Patsh! Glad all is well and you have your trike still! do you ride much? I still treasure and use sparingly the shrink tubing you sent me. Always smile when I snip a piece off and use it.

Elorrum: yes, I agree, this place (eplaya in general, but not the bar thread) seemed "nicer" in years past. people have gotten down right rude, attacking others opinions and actions in a very vitriolic way. All the insults and name calling and such. It's pretty sad, we can't have discussion and disagree and still smile. I find reading much of it, I won't waste my breath in discussion with some, since they just jump right to ad hominem and rudeness.

I have a few big cemetery restoration projects I'm hoping to land bids on. If so, RnR on some ornate gold rush era cemetery plots, including old ornate cast iron fencing, re setting several ton pieces of granite, tree removal and monument restoration. Maybe I'll have something to post in the "what are you making" (IIRC the name?) thread.

What is being offered for discussion, actually a cutting contest, starts off as offensive, and goes nowhere from there.

I wanted a laugh and a friendly feeling, some gadget insight, but now the house blend is a dark dark roast called “fuck you.” And I am depositing turds. Gotcha. Welcome to the newcomers.
