Ah, yes, years ago after getting out of a monogamous marriage that didn't fit. I did explore my sexuality in all types of legal ways. Immature, maybe, but It didn't deserve a death sentence. Would you like red or green apples in your fruit basket?

This did make me smile. I'll give it 3/10 on snark cleverness. The question is was it presented in jest? If not, it's probably with considering why you dislike me?

This vid gave me an idea. Marjorie Taylor-Greene illustrated her total ignorance yet again by name-calling the news reporters and Democrats watching her every stupid-shit political move as the gazpacho police", when she probably meant 'Gestapo' in reference to the Nazi secret police. Gazpacho is an all-vegetable soup served in parts of Spain and Portugal. A very healthy soup, I might add, and quite tasty if served correctly, Or, was this an off-kilter reference to the soup Nazi of sitcom fame?

See this MSNBC vid of MTG with commentary and make up your own mind.:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iqg2S8fthMw

Note the fact also that Lou Dobbs didn't say what gazpacho is.

Mayor of Hudson Ohio says ice fishing leads to prostitution - shouldn't permit ice fishing at a local park
"If you open this up to ice fishing, while on the surface it sounds good, then what happens next year? Does someone come back and say, 'I want an ice shanty for X-amount of time?' And if you then allow ice fishing with shanties, then that leads to another problem - prostitution"
And he's resigned.
The mayor who suggested that allowing ice fishing shanties on a lake could lead to prostitution resigned Monday after days of being mocked and drawing national attention to the city.

Hudson Mayor Craig Shubert said in his resignation letter that his comments at a City Council meeting had been misinterpreted.

Shubert later said his comment about ice shanties and prostitution stemmed from his experience as a television news reporter covering law enforcement agencies that have arrested people for prostitution in shanties. He said he was concerned about the potential for unintended consequences.

In his resignation letter, Shubert said he felt he had completed his work as mayor and that he was nearing retirement.

Last fall, the mayor demanded the resignations of the city’s entire school board because he baselessly claimed a book used in a high school creative writing class included child pornography.

After the mayor’s claims, school board members and Hudson High School teachers received violent threats, according to County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh’s office. Bevan Walsh said the writing prompts did not amount to child pornography. She also determined that Shubert should not be charged after her office led a probe into whether he could face criminal penalties for disrupting a public meeting and inciting panic over the threats to public officials that followed.
No word of if he's been signed in to a dementia home.

BEIJING — Heavy snowfall — the real kind — disrupted Olympic events Sunday…Beijing organizers have created their ski and snowboarding courses out of almost entirely human-made snow. The real snow altered those conditions for athletes competing Sunday afternoon.

The campaign for a seat on the Texas Railroad Commission (public utility regulatory commission), usually a low-profile affair, is getting more attention—and that’s a good thing.

“SpaceX recently announced that a solar storm has disabled at least 40 of the 49 communication satellites that it recently launched.” Feb. 14, 2022

“Starlink is the name of a satellite network developed by the private spaceflight company SpaceX to provide low-cost internet to remote locations. SpaceX eventually hopes to have as many as 42,000 satellites in this so-called megaconstellation.Jan 7, 2022”

“At least 40 of the compact, flat-panel satellites are now in the process of re-entering Earth’s atmosphere, where they will be incinerated in a fiery explosion. One satellite was filmed burning up over Puerto Rico early Monday morning.”

2 more flights scheduled for this month. Pretty sure it’s all burning up in re-entry. 40 qty, how big could they be? Can’t resist saying, “Heads up, Chicken Little!”

In 1922, Mississippi’s Senate voted to send all the state’s Black people to Africa

One hundred years ago, the Mississippi state Senate voted to evict the state’s Black residents — the majority of its total population — not just out of Mississippi, but out of the country.

The Senate voted 25 to 9 on Feb. 20, 1922, to ask the federal government to trade some of the World War I debts owed by European countries for a piece of colonial Africa — any part would do — where the government would then ship Mississippi’s Black residents, creating “a final home for the American negro.”

The country of Liberia was founded in 1822 as an outpost for returning freed slaves from the Americas. It grew into a colony and eventually became a commonwealth, and achieved independence in 1847 with the help of the American Colonization Society as an alternative to emancipation in the United States.

Mike Pompeo has lauded the Russian strongman over the past month as a “talented,” “savvy,” “capable statesman,” offering his praise during a slew of interviews after his political action committee spent $30,000 on improving his performance in media appearances.

“He is a very talented statesman. He has lots of gifts,” Pompeo told Fox News in January. “He was a KGB agent, for goodness sakes. He knows how to use power. We should respect that.”

US man told four-year-old to fire at officers over McDonald’s dispute

As officers were taking the man into custody, one looked back and saw a gun pointing from a rear window. A witness observed the man tell the four-year-old, who was in the backseat with a three-year-old sibling, to shoot. An officer was able to swipe at the gun as it was fired, directing the bullet away, and yelled “kid” to other officers after seeing how young the shooter was.

This following a dispute over his order at a McDonald’s drive-thru in suburban Salt Lake City on Monday, police said. [Edit: nope - not Florida! What would Retired-Jesus do?]

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/202 ... t-officers
Typical American news. Leaves out the important stuff. Like, no mention of if the four year-old prefers a revolver or an automatic (steel or polymer?), 45 over 9 mm or the more modest 380 or even if the four year-old still hasn't moved up from 22, let alone brand, model of handgun nor their preferred load, latest grouping and which trigger mod he runs, and if he got for his birthday or it was handed down from his grandpappy. Although the officer did have time to swat the gun away, so that pretty much says he wasn't running a red dot; cruel to make a kid use iron sights when there's a faster sight-target acquisition option available. Poor kid likely getting teased for being the only four year-old on his block that hasn't got a red dot yet.
