Yeah, I'm reminded of the phrase "old soul." There seem to be some people who, even in youth, see life through the eyes of wisdom and age. Others, on the other hand, go through life with a sense of innocence throughout, where everything is new and wondrous. And of course, most who range somewhere in between.
