Whilst driving the back roads of the Belarus radiation zone an old man flagged me down and before I could say anything he had climbed into the car and started barking instructions. Soon we were heading down forest tracks towards the abandoned radiated village he called home. And what a home it was!It's hard to believe isn't it, that in 2019 in europe that people still live in houses in the forest with no electricity. All alone old people.
