Looking for Musicians

Post by BuckPDX » Fri Aug 05, 2022 12:01 am

We're looking for musicians to help us entertain visitors on Sunday, Aug. 28 and Monday, Aug. 29, 6-8 pm during our camp's very popular Pimp your Bike events.

Our fearless leader, The Virgin Merrill, is the sax player in The Flamingos band. He will provide some drums, a keyboard, lots of rhythm instruments, and a sound system. Of course, BYO instrument if you have one.

We will have jazz, blues, Broadway, and rock lead sheets on hand.

If you are interested, here is a link to yet another short form to fill out and we will contact you. Yes, it's possible that we may have a ticket or two to purchase for the right musicians.

Hey hey. I am a singer songwriter from San Diego. I play acoustic guitar and can sing my songs - which mostly in Russian - or some of songs of my favorite musicians like Tom Waits. Or just play what you guys will be playing.
Some of my newer tracks are here: https://soundcloud.com/alex-kiskachi/popular-tracks
Old albums: http://kiskachi.com/albums/
I am also a camp lead of a theme camp, Atom Cult (7:45 & E this year). Going to busy building the camp around Sunday and possibly even Monday, but will try to join you guys at least for one session.
And this year I am looking for a musician or musicians to play with me at the Center Camp's stage on Wednesday night. My long-time violinist friend won't be able to join me this year. And I've been playing at Center Camp since 2011. So if any of you want to join me there... That'd be awesome. Sax will be awesome. Percussion will be awesome. Bass too, but that'll require more rehearsing of course.
Here's some footage from my previous performances there:
