Looking for any last minute open DJ spots

Post by Shanani » Wed Aug 10, 2022 12:40 pm

Hello friends,
I have finally secured my tickets and heading to burning man! I'm happy to return to the dust after 3 years. Burning man inspired me to become a DJ and I can't wait to return as a musician and bring my own style of music to the playa. I've had the privilege of opening for a lot of talented artists who are playa legends such as Behrouz, Goldcap, Acid Pauli, and Kora amongst others.

I play mostly downtempo and organic house. I've also played ecstatic dance sets as well.

I know that this late in the game most schedules are set, but you never know unless you try 💖🌠

Here are some of my sets:

You’ll find more success if you pound the pavement, so to speak.

Several camps have posted here looking for acts and DJ’s …

So, let them fingers fly and at least put in an effort to land a spot by reaching out rather than casting a line and hoping to land a gig.

Let’s be honest here, no shortage of DJ’s on the Playa.

I've pounded the pavement as much as possible and messaged all those groups already (and pretty much everyone else I know as well).

I'm not just sitting here expecting someone to come and offer me a gig.

I consider making a post putting yourself out there also part of pounding the pavement.

And yes I understand no shortage of DJs on the playa but doesn't mean I'm going to try any less and not put myself out there.

But I appreciate your input nonetheless 💖.
