Not only did Trump not stop the violence, he tweeted out a link to his Ellipse speech at 1:49, just as police were declaring a riot at the Capitol. Then he “poured gasoline on the fire,” witnesses said, with his 2:24 tweet accusing Pence of cowardice, putting a target on his own vice president’s back, as the committee put it. That tweet led to an immediate escalation in the violence, and at 2:26, Pence had to be evacuated to an even more secure location. He came within forty feet of the rioters, and the situation was so dangerous that Secret Service agents were calling their families to say goodbye.

In the end, it is all about trying to keep him from running again and pushing him out of the republican party.

The strategies and details are all nearly irrelevant.

The Bush/ Romney / Cheney people are mad that they have no chance of leading the party anymore, especially as long as Trump is supporting specific candidates. Their entire fund raising structure is falling apart because centrist and conservatives are refusing to donate to any of their other funds vs Trump backed funds.

They are completely confused by the idea that people who don't make much money won't vote someone that:
- runs a vulture fund
- won't pay people a reasonable minimum wage
- ruined a toy store where they used to take their grandchildren.
- doesn't understand that W2 wage earners think of SS taxes as being the same as income tax
- only supports their particular selective concept of "rights of the individual"

The Clinton / Rhodham chicken empire family are mad that they aren't in charge and Bloomberg wanted his big tax breaks so he funds the heck out of the democrats.

Trump's big mistakes:
- Hiring Bolton. More or less messed up anything that looked like a good idea
- Not taking a harder line on the riots in the western cities. If those rioters had been arrested and convicted of felonies, then they would have been taken off the ability to vote and been on watch lists.
- Not realizing that a lot of people he trusted were just back stabbers

He isn't perfect but no one is.
