Post by Jtank10203 » Sat Jan 14, 2023 2:17 am

Hi everyone!
im so excited and a little nervous finally taking the leap and going to Burning Man!
I have been to a few local festivals but no where close to this scale. Would love to meet or talk with anyone about what to expect or listen to any advise.
Thanks You!

Hello jtank and welcome to eplaya. Tickets will be going on sale very soon. Be sure to fill out your playa profile and mark the dates of the various sales. Read the preparation links in my profile below.
For nearly everyone who attends, Burning Man is life altering--in a good way. Read up, watch videos and keep an open mind about what you see find on the playa.
The playa surface is usually usually hard packed and very easy to walk and bike on. You may want to leave the stilettos back at your camp, as walking would be a nightmare in them.
Start gathering your gear and supplies, as Burning Man is just 7 short months away.
See you in the dust.

Here is a great video to watch on the history of Burning Man, Larry Harvey (the founder) and of the event itself.

I have attended a few small-scale events, but none on this size. Would love to meet with anyone to discuss what to anticipate or to hear any advice.
