Campfire Talk #5: “More With Less: Tips and Tricks to Resource Sharing and creating HUBS

Campfire Talk #5: Tuesday, February 28 at 5p PT.
“More With Less: Tips and Tricks to Resource Sharing and creating HUBS”
(Humans Uniting for Better Sustainability)
The playa demands as much of us in resources as it does in time. Yet how much redundancy is there when we each bring more than what we need to survive out in the dust? Is there a better way to share resources, costs, and labor across our community? This episode of Campfire Talks brings together experienced camp leaders who’ve shared resources and formed HUBS to offer the best ways to partner with other camps/groups for Communal Effort both on and off playa.

Sometimes camps will even help each other with clean-up. That reminds me, where is the moop map?

HUBS? So the resorts, er, “theme camps”, can share their 49kw generators? Shouldn’t big generators be available so everyone can rent an air conditioned rv without having that noise near enough to disturb them? Honestly they’d prefer the infield at Daytona Speedway… The track's 180-acre (73 ha) infield includes the 29-acre (12 ha) Lake Lloyd. Why are we still pretending this event works in a remote desert?

Where is the moop map?

Considering these talks are put on by the Camp Network Team, which has nothing to do with the moop map, probably not.
