I re-watched Ann Richards’ keynote speech at the 1988 democratic convention yesterday. People were still applauding the unity of the country statements. It was a plea to the “forgotten” base against the evil corporate Republicans then. She said that small business was the backbone of the country… that’s pretty much an outdated battlefront. I wish some of the poorer maga folks would look at that and see if any of it makes sense to them now.

They must be torn down and taken over by true believers who will use the state to enforce their “Christian nationalism.”

Former President Donald Trump said Saturday he expects to be arrested in connection with the investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney next week and called for protests as New York law enforcement prepares for a possible indictment.

Former President Donald Trump could face a criminal indictment soon, but even if he is charged and convicted, Alan Dershowitz believes Trump could again run the country, only this time from behind bars.

The prominent attorney and former Harvard Law School professor arrived at the conclusion based on the text of the U.S. Constitution, which lists only three criteria to qualify for the presidency. None specifically eliminate a candidate based on their criminal record.


“He can run from prison, the way (Boston) Mayor (James) Curley did, and he could win, and he can govern from prison,” Dershowitz said Friday.

What really makes me angry is Trump's CPAC "if you don't elect me in 2024, the country is finished." It is actually the opposite, if he is elected, democracy and civil society is finished.

SCOTUS is possibly starting to get it. There are rumors that may let stand the appellate court ruling against the "independent state legislature" vote-rigging case, Moore v. Harper. SCOTUS is also considering Merrill vs Mulligan which is Alabama vs the Voting Rights Act.

What has been reported is that from the residence DT late night dialed FOX News hosts, and who else?
