looking for a Bay area camp

Post by DocSurprise » Sun Apr 23, 2023 3:22 pm

Hi, I'm a 66 year old veteran burner (6) burns with a small spaceship art car. My son, now 27 is on the ASD spectrum. I has always been my dream to bring him to BM, and connect him to the Bay Area (SF) community in the hopes he would find friendly tolerant people who would accept him and help him find his joy. He is kind, friendly and generous, and I believe finally ready to go home for the first time. He happily participates and contributes, has a talent for the mechanical. I can build or repair most things, and would be happy to arrive a few days early to work and help set up. From the years of attending, have no problems being self sufficient, but would like him to have a positive experience participating in a camp, showers would be nice. Thanks.

Preparation for camping in general and desert camping specifically would be a good idea. Being a camp member and the support that provides varies greatly.

The main site has many contacts worldwide, and California is well represented. https://regionals.burningman.org/region ... h-america/

South Bay burners have meet and greets. https://southbayburners.org/
”On second thought, Let’s not go to Camelot. It’s a silly place.”
Roll on through, Tumbleweed.
