BxB and BxA Information for 2023

Post by some seeing eye » Tue May 09, 2023 1:26 pm

The bus can bring you and a limited amount of belongings to and from Black Rock City.

They have planes with an even smaller amount of luggage carried.

(Interestingly the BxA biiking currently shows the last flight out as Saturday at 4:30PM while the FAQ says it runs Monday)

Looks like a very useful service.

I wonder how a person is supposed to be self sufficient for many days on end with 2 suitcases and no stops along the way to buy supplies?

Hey welcome back. Are you connected to all the solar projects and support teams:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1627137627565692
and https://hive.burningman.org/ discussions?

The BxB and BxA are designed to reduce the exodus time, entry too. Some of the BxB and BxA are joining camps that brought the heavy and bulky stuff: water and shade. And there are on-playa water pick up options for BxB and BxA. There are people who take BxB in with their tent, clothes and food, and survive nicely in walk-in camping or the minimal service bus camps.

BxB & BxA probably reduce exodus hours overall about 20%, more reduction at peak hours, more impact as Nevada State highway patrol reduced the flow for safety reasons.

BxB, BxA, vehicle passes, and exodus have many threads on ePlaya.

Thanks for the links.

We had some health challenges in the family this past year so any involvement for 2023 will be limited and very local.

Maybe a repeat last year's project (since it just needs cleaning ) or some last minute support of local builders that are short of electrical resources.. Unfortunately I just don't have the bandwidth to chase through it all so they would need to ask vs me chasing them down.

I am always on the lookout for logistical related information on getting things to / from places like this. Keeping everyone happy is always the hard part.
