Message from BRC Lost and Found 2024

Hi there, Burners! This is the time of year where those of us who work the Lost and Found at Burning Man remind you all to label your stuff!

If you can bring it to Black Rock City, it can get lost, and if your name is on it, your chances of getting it back increase a great deal. Here are a few things to think about as you go through your gear in preparation for Burning Man 2024.

1-The main thing we process at LnF are PHONES, phones, and more phones. Before you hit the playa, make sure your full name and email address are either on your lock screen, or on a card inside of your phone case.
This way, you can search the Lost and Found for your name instead of scrolling through hundreds of photos of phones.
2-If you have a fabulous coat that you wear every year, sew or pin a piece of fabric inside with your full name on it. It will make your search so much easier.
3-Put your full name (and email address if it is feasible) on all camping gear, tools, props...anything that can be misplaced or blown away.

Lost and Found is located in Playa Info, which is moving this year to 5:45 and Esplanade.
