Newbie! 2024!

Post by roykat » Sun Jul 21, 2024 9:12 pm

Greetings!

I'm planning my first burn this year and I super excited! I'm a welder/fabricator out of Portland, OR. Definitely looking forward to seeing some fantastic art and meeting lots of different people. Would not be opposed to getting my hands dirty with some projects!

I was granted tickets through the ticket aid program and I am SO thankful that such a resource exists. Feeling a little paranoid because I haven't received an email with instructions for purchase just yet, but I assume that will arrive in my inbox within the next 12 hours.

I have no idea what to expect at the burn. I've met so many people who have shared so many stories and experiences from the event, that I'm determined to just let the experience happen and soak in as much as I can.

Welp. Don't know what else to say here. Goodnight!

Welcome roykat. It sounds like you have everything under control. I'm sure you read the Survival Guide and the First Timer's Guide. The weather forecast on the playa is looking good, but prepare for the unexpected.
See you in the dust in next month.
