Is a burning man monetised video on youtube with in video ad's in acceptable these days?

I like these guys doing their commercial festival reviews but they posted their Burning Man review which is monetised. When I heard they were going do this I was uneasy but now its up....

I'm puzzling how they are using Burning Man in the thumbnail?
How its sponsored by Revolut etc

Is this the norm now and OK now? Has burning man changed that much, seems out of touch with the website.

Hmm, I think you may have a good point there SunrayU75.

They seem to be fun guys, but I'm guessing their monetized video is a hard no. You can let Burning Man know about it at...

I'm all for letting people do their thing, but if there are rules preventing the rest of us from cashing in on Burning Man, then same thing goes for these blokes. Probably for the best.

cultural fracture over monetization. These “lads” likely haven’t the slightest clue about no commodification. Likely they’d react with indignation, as if they had been told burning man had rules against breathing. “How stupid”, I can hear them say, while trying to find the critical tits bike ride.

[email protected] is a good complaint hub. My experience is that the two words together burning and man, or a trademark, and then charging money is the only thing they might look in to.

I wonder if they were registered as media?

Report it to BM to help it get taken down. Then they can experience first-hand their video being decommodified.
